Reldieh, have most of week 31'ers get on ship yet? I don't see the week 31 active any longer.. if it's not - stick around here because we do have a few crossovers! (myself included!)

I think so, except for the few "crossovers" that may still be in limbo.

 

Am I reading the K-Line schedule right? Is it getting into Charleston on the 21st of August? Just wondering how my MA thinks it will be possible to have a delivery the last week of August. Doesn't it take about a week in the SC port and then another 4-5 days transport to Omaha from there? Just curious. It would be great to get it before the long weekend.

 

Yes, Western Highway (K-Line) will be in Charleston Aug 21st. Fidelio is approaching Southampton and should make port in the next 3 to 4 hours.
I am hopeing our MINI will be able to get on the Caribbean Highway (K-Line) Friday, she would be in Charleston August 27th.

From what I've read, and what my MA said, it's usually only about a week to get from port to the dealer. I'm sure based on how busy the VDC is, and whether your car has any options being installed, or suffered any damage, can cause delays. But he seemed pretty confident they get the car in time to deliver to me on Friday, Aug 29th. Keeping my fingers crossed!

Thanks. I hope you get on the next ship out! I was starting to lose hope, but it finally made it 9 days after production! Once you get on a ship, it's really fun to track it. I also have Google Earth which is really cool because you can zoom right into the ports and get an idea of what the journey looks like. Right now the Western Highway is just North of the Azores Islands. Looks like they're making pretty good progress in 3 days.

 

Hi, any of you west coast people showing up on the Maersk Wind yet? I see Tinker came up in the auto cargo about a day before he will be loaded, if we're on this ship I guess we should show up soon?? Good luck to all of you!!

I'm a west coaster with Mini waiting at the port for the Maersk Wind. Should leave on the Aug 13th and arrive on Sept 5th.
Looks like it stops at a few ports along the way. I hope they don't drop my car off in Panama!
My MA at Long beach Mini said about 1 week from port arrival to ready for
pickup at dealer.

 

Ok - so I spent one day away from the forum and I find out the rest of the Omaha party has already left . Well done - that's way way too cool and I'm so jealous. I'll call my MA tomorrow, but since mine wasn't born until last Friday I doubt it made that k-line ship . I'm just keeping my fingers crossed that it will leave this Friday. Getting her the week after labor day might be a secret blessing, what with all the state troopers eagle eyeing over the holiday weekend.

 

My Mini should be boarding the the Maersk Wind. And leave on the Aug 13th and arrive on Sept 5th at port Hueneme, CA. Then I wait some more. I hope they get it on the trucks fast to get it out to Vegas.

Can't wait to finally go motoring around town.

 

Finally! Today I'm officially booked on the ship, Maersk Wind.
Sails tomorrow. All you week 32 build, west coasters, should be on this ship.

 

yes yES YES - booked on the Maersk Wind. Will arrive in Port Hueneme on Sept 5th. Things are coming together. I hope our MINI will take some pictures of its cruise, ya know, just to keep us informed as to what's happening.......

 

I checked WW tracking this AM when I first got up - no change. Just checked again - and I am LOADED!!! Those of us on the Fidelio will soon set sail across the pond!

Yesterday when I looked, they had 89 Mini's going to GA Port, now there are 119 Mini's heading to GA!
