click on "Auto Cargo"
Then the next page "Cargo ID #"
type in your VIN.

plutch, if I am correct - that is one of Klines ships and they don't have tracking information. You should call your MA and see if he has any additional information! Good Luck!!

Just called ASKMINI and the automated system said our MINI was in transit!!!! It must have made it on the Western Highway heading for Charleston. OL has not changed yet, but I went by the dealer yesterday and spoke with my MA (while he took me for a test drive in a JCW), he mentioned we may have it by the end of the month. But, he told me not to get my hopes up too much. I was kind of puzzled since all the messages still said it was at port. It seems he new that there were MINIs headed for Houston, but had no confirmation that ours had left the port. Yippeee!! Come home to daddy little MINI!

 

We are at the port waiting for a shipping vessel. Checked with MA, but she did not know the ship or port of entry... She will check and get back to me. Most likely we will be on the same ship as RaceTripper, since his JCW is at the port and both are coming to StL Mini -- guess we'll wait and see...

 

I don't know what ship my JCW will be put on. Someone mentioned the Patriot. I haven't really had time to look into it. I just got back from vacation (to Road America ) a day ago.

If mine gets put on a ship this week, that should be good -- timing-wise -- for me to take delivery on the 9/15. Two weeks at sea, a week at the VDC (getting driving lights put on), and a week to get to the dealer and have it prepped, clearbra'd, tinted, and striped.

Just about in time to take it on a road trip to Petit Le Mans in GA.

 

Yep, looks like I'll be joining you guys on the Maersk Wind. Confirmed booked for that ship (but not loaded yet)

 

How do you know your not loaded yet? How do you know when you're actually loaded? Hmm, I suppose both of these questions have a double entendre

 

I know he's loaded because my Mini sent me and email from his balcony suite on board the MAERSK WIND: "Hope to see you soon after my scenic cruise through the Panama Canal. Love, Mini Clubie"

No to many oceanview or balcony suites on that ship. Inside cabins only.

 

Great postcard. My mini manager didn't really have a clue as to the status of my vehicle. He told me it was at port waiting for a ship sometime in the next week or so. I already knew that - really thought he would be as interested as I am in knowing exactly where my mini is at all times - silly me. That poor man must have to deal with so many OC future mini owners that the excitement just becomes routine - very sad.
I'll wait until Friday to see if my vin # shows up on the ww and if not then I'll start bugging my dealer on an hourly basis - that should get a response .

OMG!! I think my Mini might actually be on a boat for Charleston!!

When I logged on tonight and saw that almost everyone here in week 32 was either gone or going (and I'm really week 31), I decided to check AGAIN and AskMini says that I'm "in transit".

I'm assuming that I'm on the Western Highway since WW doesn't show me loaded.

When I talked to my MA last week, he said not to worry that he would be sure to call me as soon as he found out about a boat and that he checked every morning, so I haven't bothered to call. You can bet that tomorrow AM, I'll be calling! Oh I hope this isn't a glitch in AskMini.

Goodness, I've got to order the detailing stuff from Prima!

Don't feel bad...I was in limbo for over 8 days and my dealership had no better idea of what was going on than I did. News will break soon I'm sure.

 

so my MA says that my car is still waiting at the docks for a boat to arrive. He said that I just missed a boat and he thinks that there needs to be a few more cars going to the two Northwest dealerships (NWMini and Rasmussen) for my car to be loaded. We will see I am probably at a late september delivery now.

 

Plutch, when was your car completed? There haven't been many ships headed for CA that I can remember.... when does the Maersk Wind leave?

Yep, should be at the port in... oh... about 40 hours!

I'm hoping to take delivery by the end of next week, but I think it will end up being the week after next.

 

Hi - I referenced post #747 and when I checked the WW site with my VIN, I didn't see the additional status line indicating my mini was 'loaded', only 'booked'. However, maybe my mini was sipping a bon voyage drink when they did roll call so perhaps he was 'loaded' after all...

 

My completion date was 8/4! Who knows it will get here when it gets here.

 

I just found out my JCW Clubman is at the dealer and should be ready for delivery on Friday!
