Western Highway is the K-Line ship, right? I think I might be on that one! The OL tells me my car is "En Route," and my VIN doesn't show up on WW's site...

Yep, mine was the same way, Tuesday the message changed and Wednesday the OL! She is getting closer every hour:

Last reported at 2008-Aug-14 17:55 UTC. Time now 2008-Aug-14 18:58 UTC.
Position N 39°12', W 051°54'.

Check the coordinate, it even shows Independence II at the top.

ugghhhhh!!! Couldn't get on this site ALL DAY! Seems to be loading okay now!

The MINIUSA OL still says " waiting transport', phone says in transit... the OL is really not very useful! Sure seems like they could automate that a little better.

So are we all heading across the pond now? Anyone NOT make it??

Looks like my car could get on either K-Line Caribbean Highway or WW Patriot.

Same here

Looks like I should be on either the Caribbean Highway or Patriot, too. I've got my MA keeping a watch on it for me since I'll be out of town this weekend. He promised to let me know which ship I'm on. Hope my MINI catches one of these - going to Charleston, SC.

Tinker, it took 5 days for the OL to change our status to "en route", it's more than slow!

Fidelio is moving along quickly, perhaps not going as far north as the Independent. She seems to be heading in a more westernly direction sooner. The Independent went pretty far north before turning west. Fidelio is almost half way between the land masses now. She will be in north american waters soon.

Looks like the Fidelio is about half way to its first stop in Halifax. I’m getting more excited as the day gets closer. I stopped by my dealership and saw one exactly like what I ordered but it had the leather seats and some different wheels that jumped the price up another 5k. I asked my MA and he said that the Georgia VDC has been pretty good lately and that it could be here a week from the day it arrives at the port. He said when they ship it down to them from VDC it leaves very early around 5am and it arrives at the Dealership in the afternoon. I have a pretty simple order so I am hoping that I get through the VDC quickly and on to a truck home. Once at the dealer I don’t think it should take long to pick it up either. He told me he would call me the day it comes in but I doubt that means that it will be ready that same day. I figured it would take them one last day to clean it up and do their own final checkup to make sure everything is functioning properly.

Tinker, hopefully our cars are behaving cause it would a real shame for them to have to serve detention at the VDC . So far i hear things are good though and Luigi seems pretty content with coming home. But I think there might be a hurricane to look out for. I havent really followed the news but I remember seeing something about 2 possible hurricances recently.

Bemmer, I am excited too - can't wait! From following the threads, it seems as some dealers get the cars VERY quickly - in days.. I hope that is our case. Where (what state/locale) is Luigi's home? I would imagine that GA's VDC goes North, South and West..?

We DID waste a salesman's time ... 'test driving' another Mini last week. My hubby is deciding if he should trade my 2007 4Runner I am kindly giving him. Our dealer is just about 1½ hours away.... too far to another test drive. It was a 2006 so, not exactly the same, but it was fun to test it out again!

Detention at the VDC!!!! That MUST not happen! We can't be delayed to get these babies home!! Maybe you should send word out to Luigi to BEHAVE!! I haven't been checking the weather either - heard about one tropical depression - that fizzed out. But just checked - here is the current!!

Wow awesome list Yeah im really hoping they that get home as soon as possible. It would really great to have him home before September though it might be unlikely. I am not sure of Brunswicks hours of operation since they appear to vary depending on the VDC but i think it is possible it could arive by the end of Aug if not the first few days of Sept. Those storms look like they could be a problem though hopefully they wont affect any of the ships if they decide to turn north cause that could cause some damage on the ships

Just found out today that I am on the Western Highway and can expect delivery before the end of the month. I've been trying to not stress over the wait so had to take a few days off. Our garage is clean and stocked with Prima gear ready to go!

If I'm on Caribbean Highway, it's just leaving Southampton Harbor. If I'm on Patriot it's about to dock at Plymouth. Either way, looks like I'm on my way out to sea very soon.

Update on Western Highway and Independence as they jockey for the pole position. Fidelio is currently in stealth mode sneaking up quickly.

Western Highway:
Last reported at 2008-Aug-15 17:58 UTC. Time now 2008-Aug-15 18:51 UTC.
Position N 38°18', W 059°12'.

Independence II:
Last reported at 2008-Aug-15 18:00 UTC. Time now 2008-Aug-15 18:53 UTC.
Position N 45°18', W 059°48'.

The northeast coast does seem to have some August storms brewing.

Extra, extra Fidelio blitzes for a 107 mile gain!!
Last reported at 2008-Aug-15 18:00 UTC. Time now 2008-Aug-15 21:03 UTC.
Position N 50°36', W 031°18'.

I

I was kind of surprised that Laser Blue was so popular, but I think I know the reason! I think that you counted all of the LB as Laser Blue and some could be Lightening Blue. All of these abbreviations can make your head swirl. I wrote LaB for Laser Blue, but have no idea if this is right!

'08 MCCS Laser Blue/Silver etc, etc

Oh you're right gbsim! I forget that there are actually 2 blues that start with 'L'...

I wonder if the ships unload and go.. or are they loading cargo as well to head to other ports? I imagine they are??

So.. let's talk more about our MINIs!! Anyone getting a clear bra? I have NEVER had one installed on any automobile, and wonder if they are really worth it.

I'm getting one. We go on several road trips a year (1 more race trip this year and 4 planned for 09), and the front end will get rock chips if we don't protect it. I'm paying $525 for the front end including the lights.

I am having the clear bra (invisishield), mud flaps front and back, black rubber mats (front, back and boot), also, JCW strut brace, JCW Aero kit, JCW sport suspension, JCW carbon fiber rear diffuser, and JCW carbon fiber bonnet scoop installed. I don't really know which of these will be installed at the VDC, any ideas?
