Go Kart Like Handling (for real)

Seeing as I have yet to actually place the order for my MINI, although I test drove one Sunday, I figured I'd post a pic of my REAL Go Kart. Its a 1962 McCulloch Model 200. I've had it since 1970 and recently restored it to near original condition. If I get caught up in the car show thing again I might get a little trailer to tow the Kart behind the MINI. That should be interesting...

Nice! Are you aware that there are vintage Kart races? Lou Smiley went to Barnesville this past winter with his vintage Mac Dually. It's a hell of a ride particularly with bluestreaks.

That said what kind of clutch are you running? I think I have some Hartman clutch parts here in my desk. Needless to say they have been there for a long time.

That's a mighty fine cart you got there!

Cool go-kart, it would be a kick if you took it to a MINI event, and love the color.

Hi Rich,
I have a Horstman RevGrip clutch for the MC93 engine. Also have an MC49 (apart) and an old 95cc MAC saw engine. There are vintage races at Sugar Hill in New Hampshire but I have not been to any events yet.

The "airbag" is not original for that kart. I need the seat back tank specifically for this model because it has clearance for the engine.

Obligatory MINI content: Top requirement for my MINI is Chili RED paint!

Looks great. I always have a laugh when people claim their Mini's handle like karts. Last I checked Mini's don't break ribs in corners.
