Is that info from the OL or the ASK MINI number? I've been getting all of my updates from the phone number, as I still haven't been able to log in to the OL. I've pretty much given up trying to get any info that way. The ASK MINI people have been wonderful.

My ALL4 was completed on 11/2 and is "waiting for transport". I've got my VIN from the MA and am ready to watch its expedition. The next WW ship leaving Bremerhaven is the Asian King on 11/10. It's already at the port, but I'm wondering if I have to wait until the 10th or 11th to see if my car is on the ship.

I nosed around the K-Line site just to see if things changed since this thread was started and they were now shipping to CA, but couldn't really get any valuable information there. So my hopes are pinned on the Asian King.

 

Mazza, thats from calling the number. the OL keeps giving me the "try again in a few days because you're so quick" message.

 

Argg. What a pain in the patootie. The OL is STILL telling me that, and mine was ordered weeks ago and is now complete. Sorry.

 

No worries! I'll try in another few days, it seems the avg wait time is 14 days.

 

I have given up on the OL and the Ask Mini line seems to be the best. My Countryman is "at the port awaiting transportation". Mazza, the next WW ship out of Bremerhaven is the Talisman, sailing Nov. 9, followed by Asian King on the 10th. Hope we don't have to wait for the Tsyla sailing on the 16th!

 

For giggles I tried this AM and got the message that the car has entered production and should be completed by 11/16! w00t!

 

Unfortunately, the Talisman isn't coming up as an option when I do a schedule search for Port Hueneme, CA. Maybe it just goes to the East Coast. Oh well.

Thanks for that, good read! Apparently, when I spoke to someone at ASK-MINI they told me the car entered production on 11/7 not 11/8, and that as of this morning 11/13 there is no further information, scheduled completion is 11/16 I'll try again later today then again in the morning to find out where in the process I am!

Do you know how long it takes to get the car once it arrives at the United States Port (mine being Port Hueneme CA)?

 

Yesterday Desmond II was in the body shop, today should be paint according to ASK MINI personnel.

 

Actually the Bess is scheduled to leave Southhampton on 11/21/12. It leaves from Europe the 18th. My vehicle is scheduled for completion on the 21st. probably won't make it until next ship

Sadly, I didn't make the Asian King. It seems to take considerably longer to get to Bremerhaven from the factory in Austria than the MINIs built in Oxford to get to Southampton. My car was completed on Nov 3 but didn't make the AK departure on the 10th. Fingers crossed for Bess.

It's not the end of the world, I've really only lost 4 days because Bess doesn't make as many port calls as the AK, so it's only a 24-or-so day pleasure cruise for my bundle of joy instead of 28. However, this seemed like a very long sitting-at-port time waiting for a ship. Which got me thinking, they probably prioritized AK's cargo spots for the east coast bound cars as it will be making more stops over there than Bess. I'm curious about my theory, and am wondering if anyone out there in Countryman-waiting land has a MINI on the Asian King that will be processed through Port Hueneme, or is it mostly filled with east coasters?

Adamrod7: I think that it really depends upon where your car needs to be delivered to. From previous posts, it seems like it can take a day or two to be processed at PH, and then it gets transported to your dealer. So CA is pretty quick, No CA sounds like 2-4 days, AZ, WA, NV, etc. can take longer. Where are you?

Are we on Bess - Wallenius Wilhelmsen ? My Status as of 11/14/12 is "Released to a Carrier and awaiting transportation to the Port of Exit"

From WW website is states that Bess is coming on the 18th then making two stops, ZEEBRUGGE Nov. 20, SOUTHHAMPTON Nov. 21, MANZANILLO, PA Dec. 3, and FINALLY PORT HUENEME Dec. 12!

No, sorry. From what I can gather, I think your VIN could turn up as being booked on your WW ship a day or so before it sails from Bremerhaven, but will more likely be the day of sailing. Can anyone confirm this? I have no experience with this as my VIN keeps coming up as "No records found". Bess is currently in Bristol, and I don't think we'll see anything regarding US bound cargo until it's actually in Bremerhaven. Again, I'm assuming this from previous posts. Sorry I can't be more help.

One thing I have gleaned is that all MINIs shipping to Port Hueneme use the WW line, so their site will be our best resource at this stage.

Yes, I believe that's right. It's a bit confusing on my browser, as the "Cargo ID" box is way to the right of the label.

And no, mine doesn't come up yet. Still waiting for it to be recognized.

 

Gah! Every time this thread pops up, I think it's a tutorial on how to get started with Auto-Cross or track days and think "This should be interesting".

Wonderful site...Finally found a source to explain the mysteries of ordering and receiving a MINI. But, I'm wondering anyone has decoded the "Production Number" and meaning similar to the VIN?

 

Based on what I have determined, the production numbers are simply chronological.
