Hi, Folks.

Just ordered my Clubman last Saturday. Joined up here yesterday. Can't wait to motor. I've never had a car to be excited about until now. In fact, I haven't been this excited since my wife last told me she was pregnant. (Hmm. I might have stumbled onto something. Those of you still waffling about a purchase might want to take something from that; a Mini is cheaper than having a child, it talks back a lot less, and you don't have to send it to college.)

Expect delivery next month. I'll pass these anxious weeks here learning about being a MINIac from all of you. Looking forward to having meaningful things to contribute soon!

And vacuuming and an oil change is both less frequent and more rewarding than changing your little bundle of joy's ... you get the idea.

Here in NJ, we have only full serve gas stations. I'll sleep while they fill the tank.

And...maintenance for the first 36 months was not included on any of my kids.

 

Hadn't considered that one. Not sure the wife would let me trade one in....

 

By the time I'm ready for the next car, I'll have teenagers. The trade-in might be tempting...

Are you going to watch the ship go through the Panama Canal? Apparently, there are sites where you can do that.

 

I ordered mine in Feb. when they first came out. They started to build it in the end of April and finish on May 2. It spend a week on the dock in Southampton for a ship. I didn't need it until June anyway.
