Personally I'd be fine with K-Line. It'll make it to Charleston two days before the WW.

 

Hey guys! First post. Thanks for all of the great info.

I'm gathering from reading that there is no way to know if your Mini made it on the K-Line ship that left on 6/13? My Mini finished production on 6/10 and has not updated the "Awaiting Trasport" since then.

Anyone on the K-Line get the OL to update to "En Route"?

 

My MINI appears to be in the exact same situation as yours. Looks like it was stuck in the paint booth on the 12th [the first big day of the strike] and is now scheduled to be finished tomorrow the 17th. I just hope the cars are all put together and painted correctly! *bites nails*

Just got off the phone with my MA and he's coming over on the Western Highway. Should arrive at Charleston on 6/26 and be in Memphis on 6/30. I shall celebrate my independance from gas prices by taking the family on a road trip. Anybody else here on that ship?

Wow that's pretty bad fuel economy there! A co-worker of mine has a Ram 1500 and he gets 11mpg...on the highway It's little wonder why small cars are suddenly all the rage to those that otherwise aren't interested in small cars.

 

Is this the first news of a week 24 actually being on a boat? As far as I know I'm still at the port of exit waiting on a shipping vessel I sent my MA and email asking if he knew weather of not my baby made it on a boat yet but he hasn't replied. Just got off the phone with someone at ASK MINI and the guy told me after the car reaches the port of exit they really have no more information. Couldn't tell me if my car got on a boat or not. Why does the OL have an "EN ROUTE" option then?

I got confirmation from my MA that my Mini made it aboard the Western Highway that left on the 13th. My production completion date was the 10th.

 

My car was completed on the 9th and is on the Asian Chorus to the west coast via New York.

 

Order 5/26, so thats 30 days from ordered until port.

 

So it looks like since it took a day or two longer to produce my car (finished on the 12th) I missed the earlier boat and now have to wait a whole week!!! :( :( Oh well, like myself my car is a little late

 

I, too, am in shipping lala land. Confirmed through ASK-MINI that production was complete on 6/12 and the car was released for transport. Talked to my MA last night and he wasn't able to shed any light on things. Sooooo, Barrett is either hanging with unsavory types down at the docks or partying on the Western Highway . . .

 

I bet Barrett and Nigel (my baby) are getting into all kinds of trouble in la la land! This is the first time my MA didn't not email me back in a timely fashion :( I guess I will be sending another email to the financial manager as I have other questions that he can answer for me.

Not that it means a lot, the OL finally clicked over my status as "en route" 6 days after the ship left the dock. While I trusted the WW status report that Zeus was Loaded on Ship, it's nice to have something relevant happen while I sit here twiddling my thumbs for another three weeks.

 

The OL has finally switched me over to en route. Forget the fact that ive been at sea for a week.

Congrats to all who's Mini has embarked on the high-seas! Just got word that our build was finished yesterday... Wonder how many Mini's we could get on a jumbo cargo plane?

 

Micro-update on my end: My car appears to be built and awaiting transport. Looks like it didn't get lost in the paintshop afterall!

The new baby is finally on its way - after 9 days of drinking and carousing on the docks of Southampton, its finally officially loaded on the Maersk Wave and has departed for the New World. Panama on 7/2, then Port H. on 7/10.. Off to update my sig now...

Whats weird is that it was booked before I even bought it and been waiting at the terminal since the 12th. Why is this taking so long??? I have read a few week 23er's are getting their car this week when I've still got at least 3 weeks to go.
I guess the timetable for the ships someone here made was wrong when it said the Courage took off today. Looks like tomorrow
