I called ask Mini and I have to believe that my car will start production next week. I must say that it would sure be nice if the owners lounge tracking site would switch me over from "on order" to "scheduled for production." Has anyone from week 24 seen this yet?

ok, now I'm confused. I was told my production started today, but that I was a week 24 since it wouldn't be completed until the 11th. So is your week when you start or when you finish?

Nick, good to see another tn guy in here. I like Nashville. In my younger days I liked the harpeth hall girls too.

Often your week seems to be when you start and finish production. I too like Nashville (otherwise I would live elsewhere...go figure). I never had a thing for Harpeth High Girls though

Wjonesiv,

I can understand the confusion. In any case, if your car is getting built you are, at worst, ahead of the game. May you enjoy your ride.

Per the live voice at ASK-MINI, as of this morning our Clubman is in production with a completion date of 12 June. WHOO-HOO!

Now the next critical date is the ship, as I assume a well controlled process through build and delivery to the port.

Mozza - I PM'd you - has your status changed?

I think I am going to call again tonight and ask about when mine should be completed. Last I asked two days ago it was slated for production WK 24 but they did not know anything else.

Nick:

I checked out your website. Very impresive stuff. We will have to see if our cars make it here at the same time.

Regarding the Harpeth thing, I was an ole miss boy and they seemed to come in flocks to oxford. I dont know if it was a clickish thing or what.

As far as your car, have you gotten a name for him/her yet?

I don't have a car name yet. I am waiting till it arrives. I don't think I can name it till I actually drive my mini.

Color choice was by far my most difficult decision, I almost went CR/B, but the wife was pulling for lightning blue/white.

Ketchup on a deep friend chocolate bar? No chance. My personal favourite at the place in question is the deep fried Twix. The biscuit adds a lovely crunch to the equation.

i know it sounds wierd, but that's what I said at first too. just a dab, i think the sourness of the ketchup, the sweet from the chocolate on the fried batter really make it interesting. then again, im a foodie and i like to eat new things.

mmm... twix.... *drool*

Ask Mini tells me that production started on my car on June 3 and will be complete on June 9. This is good, since I had been told earlier that my car's production would be the week of June 8. Perhaps I didn't understand that they meant it would be done the week of June 8. So, to say the least, I'm happy. They also tell me that if my car is done on June 9, it should arrive to the dealership in California by (about) July 9 or 10. I had been anticipating that my baby (yet to be named) would arrive much later in July. A premie is okay with me. The wife and I have some road trips planned for July. It would be sweet to have the baby by then.

If the current schedule is representative; the RIGOLETTO departed on the 4th and hits PORT HUENEME, CA in the 25th, or 21 days; the FIDELIO departed on the 5th and hits Brunswick GA ( after stops in Halifax, New York and Baltimore) on the 19th or 18 days.

Delta time - three days.

Murphy lives on my shoulder, and two days to port sounds tight. The EMDEN on the 21st is a solid safety net.
