Greets from Oz...
Greets from Oz...
The real Oz, not the Joey-come-lately from down-under... Ad Astra per Aspera!
And now, I really am flying in the stars with my new-to-me 2003 Dark Silver Mini Cooper S! 25K miles, garage-kept in Florida by my dad, who GAVE it to me!!! Flew down to Tampa on Delta, flew back to Topeka on Mini, Mini Cooper, Mini Cooper S, that is (23 city, 29 highway, even after 5 years)...
I don't recommend the right lane heading north on I-57 in Illinois before you get to the turn-off for St. Louis, unless you really like having your kidneys punished.
And don't get me started about light blue Suburban drivers hauling a trailer with something that might have been a sapling wrapped in blue tarp pulling onto the highway without first making sure all the little rocks around its base had been cleared away.
...badump...badump...badump...
...zoom...snap...pop...crack... "Aw crap! You idiot!!!"
It is even better than I dreamed. I have always loved the Mini, ever since I was a small child and saw my first one living near Bitburg Germany in the late 60s. Complete strangers just walk up and start telling me how much they love my car, very different than the old asthmatic japanese compact I used to wrench around the streets and highways of the mid-south and mid-west. Time to wander out back again and stare at it for a while. Type at ya later!
Best Regards,
Moritz
