Week 23 2008 Support Group
Keep trying Cknlil.
I just sold my Durango R/T today. Got more than the trade offer (which was very low) and now I don't have to worry about the dealer pulling back the trade offer we agreed on when I ordered. (there have been some weird market forces in play with SUV's over the last month!) Whew!
The buyer is getting a great truck....I will miss it!
BTW, the check came with all the loan docs. I called PenFed about when I should return them and the very nice lady on the phone said it was ok to wait til the deal was done with the dealership. Make sure you give the dealer the paper in the pack regarding establishing the PenFed security interest on the title.
Patriot is pretty close now, Altoid is nearly on the same continent as me.
Good news my friends!! Milton is on the Sierra Nevada Highway and is due in port on the 19th. My MA confirmed it today!!! You can officially update the list OWG!

Done.
Yay! I'm able to post - thanks, web-maestro.
I wanted to thank all the crazies on the Week 23 thread for ALL of the tracking information - it's made our short wait very entertaining. We originally thought the Owners Lounge was our best source of tracking info... but you guys have taught me otherwise!
Our (unnamed, sorry) MINI was ordered May 30, started production June 3, finished on the 9th (?) and got onto the Asian Chorus on the 12th!!! WOOHOOO!!! Sorry OWD - I'm hoping our little laser blue S didn't cut in line in front of Maxwell. Apparently, manners is something our baby has yet to learn.
I'm really pleased with our dealer - I think we got super lucky. We ordered online through Bob Smith in Calabasas in CA, they changed one of their pre-orders to fit our requirements and it turns out they are only 33 miles from the VDC. So we were one of the latest order dates in Week 23 and we may be one of the first West Coast deliveries. The Internet sales manager Lauren said our car would be one of the last on and one of the first off the boat and damned if she wasn't right on the loading - loading time was 5:22pm on the 12th, just in time for it to depart.
So - I was thinking I should do the two-week trial at AIS to track the Asian Chorus - has anyone done so already?

Re AIS - I wouldn't expend a lot of effort. AIS is a FM transponder so once out of sight of land there is no way to recieve the signal and place it on a tracking site.
"Greetings fellow Motorer!"
Do any of you now hear that in your head, kind of like when a song gets stuck there and won't go away? I know I do!
Anyway, I've been reading this thread for a while now and decided to finally post since I seem to be exhibiting most of the symptons of MINI OCD. I ordered my MINI on 5/30, it went into production on 6/1, completed on 6/7, and now, according to ASK MINI, is sitting at the Southhampton port awaiting a vessel. Boy, am I getting tired of hearing that but I can't help from checking anyway!
I think week 23 is the right week for me, isn't it?

Thanks, sorry for asking what I now remember you having talked about before - just worried that I had gomered up the list.

No worries, OWG. I know my case is difficult to keep track of. There's a lot of information contained in this super-thread.
I decided to fix my "location tag". I added the other town where I spend half my time. This way I'll make twice as many friends. :)
I finally sold my Jeep this morning, Car Sense bought it- not a really great deal but at least now i don't have to worry that!
GemgirlPA,
What people want right now is MPG, so be sure to include the highway MPG in your ad. I also put my car in the parking lot on a busy street (but not overnight).
If you can afford to keep the old car after you get the new one, sometimes you can get more for the old car.
In the end, if your old car is in demand, it will sell. I would avoid sellling to anyone that you have not seen face to face. Good luck !

I did have some "scams". I hate those people!!!
Now, we're really ready for MINItopia!! My Clubman, MINIPOOPER, should be unloaded in NY today!
My sales guy said about a week to 10 days from when it gets to NY. It would be great to have him for next weekend, but that's probably wishful thinking!
GemgirrrrrrlPA
Seriously how long does it take to drive from NY to PA?????
Let me drive that truck and I can do it in 5 hours!!!
