Did someone bump into Al???? that just doesn't happen becuase it's cold?!?!

but just in case, how do you reset the ecu?

pull the negative terminal on the battery, and step on the brake pedal a few times. i usually wait another 10 minutes or so, but i believe that's overkill.
put the neg back on (carefully) and your ecu should have been reset and it will relearn your driving habits (w/ increased airflow).

Yuko's bumper seems to be sagging, there's a noticeable gap between the rear arches and the sides of the bumper where the arch continues. I can kind of see the tabs behind.

as far as the ECU goes, interesting, I may just try that for the heck of it. Would it forget any names in my voice entry or anything?

Gem how did it go?

So my appointment at Ottos is coming up on Monday. I requested a Mini loaner, what do you think I'll end up with?

ugh- Seems they are interested but we are now playing the haggling and waiting game!!! I'm not sure at this point... ugh!!
I don't like playing games, so this is killing me...
another company said "we will call you late next week sometime"...
I'm not a patient person...
thanks for asking!

you should get a nice MINI loaner, they had lots on the lot.

well let us know when you hear something. I just got the opportunity to fill out a survey at work about how I feel about my career path opportunities. in short I said what opportunities haha. I should be getting a call from the HR Manager for our region tomorrow to discuss it.

well the HR manager let me down, no call as of yet, she was supposed to call me 1-2 days from the submission, today was day 2. I will be careful, i'm not aggressive or ill tempered, but they need to know that there is no career path being offered and something needs to change.

last night i got my snow tires put on...

got home and the TPMS was still going crazy.

checked all of my valve stems to make sure they were all installed, and one of them is a cheap *** rubber valve stem, instead of the nice expensive metal one with the TPMS sensor in it.

Monday I'm going back down there at 8am to ***** them out. I refuse to accept anything less then an OEM MINI replacement part.

Funny thing is, all I paid for was the labor, I bought the tires on TireRack. If they actually lost my sensor, they're going to lose quite a bit of money buying me a new one.

any news on the tires?

I just dropped Al off at Ottos, they say I should be able to go get it around 6pm, but we'll see. As of the moment I have a justacoop PW/B.

I got a call around 10:30 that it was all done, so I went up to Ottos to check it out. Sure enough they fixed everything. Bumper/Bonnet adjusted, new Aux input was installed, drivers door fixed and i had them do the exhaust after i looked at one more closely in the showroom.

All is back to normal, I brought it home and cleaned it up nicely.

yea, updates on the tires...

i went down there today and talked to the manager.

he reamed out the mechanic that replaced my tires for not telling me or ordering the part I needed.

The part is on order and will be installed tomorrow.

it snowed on saturday night so i got to drive around in the snow and ice...

having snow tires rocks! the traction is great. As long as you're not going full throttle, you've got traction in the snow. On ice, there's obviously not the best of traction, but it's enough that you can steer slightly.

hey all..just wanted to say hello since i havnt posted in a while..

I am about 6K miles now. Couple annoyance going on right now. The sunroof has a rattle that is just plain annoying when it is closed. I havnt found the source yet, but working on it.

I just noticed that the door latch color light is one shade off of the rest of the car. When i hit the button to rotate through all the possible glow colors, the one for the door handles are one color "ahead" of the rest until you get to the last color. Weird huh? Anyone else see this?
