just a quick question, how do you know your MC is on the FEDORA? and not on the main Wallenius Wihlmsen ship? or Fedora one of the many ships in Wallenius Wihlmsen company?
because its has been about 2 days since i was notified on miniusa that my car is awaiting transportation and the Wallenius Wihlmsen website still says my Vin number is not available?

I'm in the same boat as you (No pun intended). I was listed as "Waiting for Transport" on Thursday and still am not showing up on the WW website.
Hopefully we will get some answers soon.

For those following their baby on the Fedora, try this:

Well, this is where you've been hiding! Here I was in the 14 week thread, thrashing around with a few others on the Fedora, when fortunately obieseven came over and threw us the lifeline to the Fedora on that great shipais.com site! Many thanks!
I believe all MINIs destined for the northeast USA, anyway, disembark at the New Jersey Vehicle Destination Center, of something like that. It's described in detail on the Tracking thread in this 1st Gear forum.

Hi Everyone!
Thanks leicaguy for the link!

Just emailed my MA to let him know that I wanted to go for the Armorglove clear coat...and mentioned that I knew the ship was supposed to dock tomorrow. I live in NY just below the border of CT, on Long Island Sound, and my MA, Fabrizio Reda, @ MINI of Fairfield County, just emailed me back and it is apparently possible that I may take delivery before the end of the month! I'll be very surprised but quite happy.
Leicaguy, I see you're not far from the border of West Virginia - what beautiful countryside you live amidst! We spent a year in Lewisburg, West By God Virginia - incredible twisties into the mountains. Your MINI should be heading down to you very soon, as well.

Exciting, no? I'm curious why your MA said it was "possible" to take delivery by the end of the month. My MA (in Sterling VA) said once unloaded the car could be at the port another 2 to 4 days, then another 1 to 3 days on the road, and finally another 3 days (max) at the dealership before it is ready to come home. That's the 27th at the latest (according to him). It's almost like your MA was preparing you for it to take longer, even into next month. With you being that close I wonder why? OK, OK, I'm obsessing.
I'm just afraid my MA is being too optimistic and it will, in fact, be longer. I want my MINI now!
And yes, our county and state roads are going to be a whole lot more fun soon.

Yes, you are obsessing! My MA actually wrote
I will start to become more obsessional as we hit April 27th - my birthday's the 28th and it would be a lovely present.
Depending upon dealer installs - as in my case the Armorglove - sometimes things take time. I guess since I'm still driving a MINI I'm not quite as crazed?
Your BABY is coming soon!....probably before the end of the month, and we will install the Armorglove.
