My name is Daniel and have just ordered my first Mini! I am a tree-hugging type, and the Mini was a perfect solution to a fuel economy prerogative and for fending off a rebellion from my daughter at the idea of a Prius -- so uncool.

Congrats! Similar experience, needed to help the environment, save $$, and the mini is definitely cooler than a prius (IMHO). However, you may experience an uncontrollable urge to use "more fuel" when going through the curves!!

This morning (very early, like 5AM), I saw a cop pulling over a Prius. I said to my boyfriend, "I thought all Prius owners were perfect. Guess not."

 

Congrats on the Mini! It's fantastic that such a comparatively green car can be so fun.

I'm fairly positive towards the Prius since my mom will be trading in her car for one shortly after my Mini arrives and I went with her for test drives and everything... But a Mini is so much more exciting.

 

Nice! And welcome! I, myself, debated on whether or not to order a Prius. I definitely liked the idea of the hybrid (not just for money saving...for the big green below us...) but decided to go with the WAY cooler MINI! Although I still applaud any hybrid drivers out there!

 

I love my MCS because it drives & handles great at high speeds and gets good gas mileage.

 

My Mini has arrived at the dealership ! I tracked her and now she's sitting in the lot waiting for a few little additions. I am hoping for delivery when my dirt road is no long suited for mud-bogging ! For the moment, I'm having fun reading the comments and information from all of your experiences! Thanks for the help...I'm looking forward to motoring.
