Just called and spoke with our MA who said our Clubman was "released to carrier" yesterday, 4/8. Waiting for a call back while he checks to see if it has arrived at the affiliate BMW dealership as yet for initial processing (depends on how many dealer stops they had to make on the way from Charleston). Stay tuned...

My MA stated today that it'll probably arrive at the dealership the 12th or the 14th. They need a day to put on the accessories and so I'm probably looking at a Tuesday pickup. I'm going in on Monday for them to assess my trade-in car and maybe get a peek at "Bruiser".

He mentioned that it should only take about 30 minutes or so to pickup the car particularly since I'm not financing. He'll run me thru a quick "this is how this works" briefing and I'm off.

Just got back from our afternoon "stake-out" at the BMW dealership which turned out to be a bust. Two trucks were expected in, but a terrible accident yesterday at Bramen Motorcars in West Palm Beach delayed all scheduled deliveries. Very sad; seems a driver for the trucking line (Waggoner's?) was killed when an X3 fell off the truck and crushed him.

Update: MA just called and said truck is due in between 8 & 9AM tomorrow morning. He'll go get our Clubman, bring it to the MINI dealership where they'll prep it and get ready for delivery just after lunch. Hmmm...not much sleep tonight, I bet!

Guess I'm on the same truck- being delivered to Braman PB.

Where is it that your car comes in and the dealer needs to pick it up from?

Haven't heard from my MA about delivery

Not certain of all the details but my guess is that after they drop off the cars at the Winter Park BMW dealership tomorrow morning, the truck(s) will continue on south to Bramen PB. MINI MA's here drive to the WP BMW location (which is about 5 miles away and owned by the same people), then drive each customer's car back to their downtown facility. A new MINI dealership is being built right next door to BMW so the current process is temporary.

Yeah, I had some bad feelings this afternoon about being even mildly excited about a car, considering the circumstances. Thankfully, they were neither the same trucks nor cars involved in any way, though it did disrupt all of the truckers' schedules.

Woah ... Sorry to hear that bad bit of news ... Glad to hear things are moving along for you guys. Independence II to arrive in Charleston tomorrow, which, by your schedules, mean some of us could take delivery the weekend of the 19-20th ...

Wow.. what a freak accident! What a way to go.

I checked the OL this morning and it now shows I'm at the VDC with an estimated delivery date of 13 April. I don't recall seeing this estimated delivery date before. This was the date my MA gave me as when they would receive my MINI at the dealership and then they would require about 1 day to put on the driving lights, illuminated door sill and clear bra.

Yes, CarolinaCooper, I'd say by next weekend at the latest since it's currently at the dock, maybe a bit sooner for you - Hang on, it's almost here (easy for me to say, huh )!

OL has finally been updated for us as well with an est. deliv. date of 4/10 which corresponds with our MA's update (since we ordered nothing that will require extra time at the dealer). Today's the day...

I heard from My MA this morning that the Mini was released to the transporter , should arrive @ Braman PB Monday and hopefully will pick it up Wed.

I heard that the driver of the transport truck took a short cut and rather than getting off the truck each time a car rolled off, he squeezed between the 2 levels and the upper level came down and crushed him.

Sad story.

OL says 4/13 for me too. Worse yet, an e-mail from my MA today said they expect Stella on 4/21! UGH What's up with the difference in dates? While trying to console me, a friend of mine suggested the sales person's creed; "Under promise & over deliver." I can only hope!

First laid eyes on our new Clubbie at 3:00PM today -- All I can say is WOW...Even more beautiful than we'd imagined! The color is spectacular, particularly in the sunlight! Both of us were grinning ear to ear the whole time we were checking him over! Drives and handles beautifully, everything works great, and it feels a lot smoother than my brother-in-laws '02 Cooper S (must be the longer wheelbase). Finally got home around 6:30, went for a little drive, and have been "bonding" ever since (lots to learn ). Took a little longer than we'd planned at the dealership as there was a bit of extra discussion over what was included in the deal. In the end, they made us happy so all is well. 36 days from order to delivery - not bad at all!

Will try to upload some pix tomorrow - too tired at the moment.

Who's next?

OMG... Sweet.. good to hear you like that color since that's what I ordered too.

Wow.. 4/21? Sounds like they're going to use bicycles to transport Stella to Ohio.

I think harold47 and I will be really close to getting our MINI's at the same time.

You lucky dog! Mine is supposed to get there Sunday, if they finish with the prep by the next evening I could get it then when I bring in my trade-in, but with scheduling and all, I don't expect it any sooner than Tuesday.

Good luck and hope all works out good for you.

I am sooo jealous!

My MA just called me back... now it's estimated to be ready for me for pickup by the END of next week. Apparently the factory can build a car in 6 days but it takes the dealership 5 days to put on driving lights and a door sill.

I'm not being as patient as I'd like to be.

Nooo WAY! So not fair! We should all meet our new family members at the same time, after all that we've been through together!

Congratulations to all of you! I have a feeling I have 1 week+.
