My second guessing was for "stuff," but not color. I ordered OB, too, and love the fact that it's a rare color ... My time was spent on the front end. 3 weeks from order to production start! ... By the looks of the backup in shipping, I may have another long wait. Good luck to all of you on the docks. Hang in there

For those questioning the Color Choise "Oxygen Blue" you will not be disappointed, I was lucky enough to see one at the Dealership the day we went on a Test Drive, both my Husband and I both LOVED the Color, it is unique and if you ask your Dealer they will tell you that that colos is at the bottom of the list in the way of choice. NOT A BAD THING in any way, it means that you have a UNIQUE Car more so now that the Color is Oxygen Blue!! Check out the Official Oxygen Blue Owners Club, there you will find other owner who have already taken delivery and with pics. as well.

I guess I'm a little late getting to this site. Ordered my baby on 2/16, production date 2/24, loaded on Emden and departed 3/5 due in to CHS on 3/16. Still has to go to Greer, then back down to Charleston to get the finishing details before I take her home. Time drags the closer it gets.

I really like Oxygen Blue. I've seen it in person both at the Boston Auto Show and at my dealer's. I guess I would describe it as a "slate blue" not at all garish and quite refined, IMHO.

Unfortunately it was not available for the MCS or I would have likely chosen it over PW.

BTW, does anyone know why all colors aren't available on all models?? It would seem easy enough since they all come down the same line, and more choice could only be a good thing for sales, no?

 

Hi there, ordered mine the same day you did, but I'm probably gonna get mine the 1st week of April. My husband got his MINI through the Charleston dealership, love them! Almost wish we'd gone there again, even though we have a dealership here it doesn't compare to Charleston.

Thank you for the update! The owners lounge still shows her cruising on the high seas. Hoping to pick her up the end of the month, first week of April at the latest.

 

You know... my Owners Lounge status still shows "EN Route" too... so I called the dealership today and now they're telling me that my car was to be in Charleston on the 18th?? That's today?? Until today my date was always the 16th which would mean the ship Emden... which is the ship I've been watching & waiting for and the one that docked and unloaded on the 16th.

To be very honest, at this point, I have no idea where my car is located!

 

Don't forget, the carrier delivers your MINI to US Customs. When your MINI clears customs, it is then released to the VPC. This could take a day and a half to two days after arrivial at the POE.

Wherebouts upstate are you? Do you have to drive to Charlseton or did you have another dealership?

 

Greenville...We have Century MINI here. Back when my husband got his in 04 it was gonna be cheaper @ Charleston & Century just didn't seem to want our business, so we ordered through Charleston drove there to pick up the car. Century has gotten better since then and they have a good service manager so we went through them this time. Our sales experience was awesome at Charleston whereas here it is more typical car sales shenanigans. Charleston is a much bigger dealership which has its perks... they still mail us invites to their motoring events and parties.

Anyway, sorry for the long story, my MINI is on the sloooowwww boat COURAGE but at least it won't have far to go from the VDC to the dealer.

 

Ok the latest from the MA, Sonya is through VPC and awaiting her ride to CHS. They expect her no later than Monday (apparently it depends on the driver ), then they have a few things they have to put on her to spiff her up even more AND I should get her on Wed the 26th or the 27th Whooeeeee!! I'm so excited!!!

 

I think Twiggy is still lost... those English girls are suckers for guys in a uniform, from what I understand... and then a few green beers... who knows what has happened!! Anyway, I'm starting to think she maybe wasn't on the Emden??? My Status is still "EN ROUTE." I see now that the CARIBBEAN HIGHWAY has docked and is unloading... this ship was one of the original K-Line ships that I thought my car might make... but the Emden's dates seemed to aligned better with the information I was getting from my dealer and Ask MINI... So, if my Status changes in the next 24 hours or so I'll have to assume that I've been tracking the wrong ship?!?!?

 

For those on the LIBERTY, scheduled to dock in NY/NJ today. Port of NY lists arrival as being delayed, new ETA is tomorrow at 6:00 AM.

Probably due to wind and gale force conditions prevailing in the offshore/coastal area until tomorrow.

 

THE LIBERTY IS PULLING INTO THE DOCK NOW IN NYC!!! YAY!!!!

 

All MINI's and BMW's have been unloaded and the Liberty has moved on..... now we wait.......

 

The MADAME BUTTERFLY has left the dock!!! I'm on, anyone else???
