My MA called yesterday to let me know that it had just arrived at their shop!! I will probably pick it up Friday!!

I hope you get some better ones real soon! Can't tell a thing from those! I know you are happy, and if you're like me you're cleaning 'er up right now, before you take the pics. Where did you get the 'toons? I sure would love one for my girl. Enjoy!

 

Thanks! Actually my job is so terrible right now that I've been too stressed to enjoy much of anything. I will get my revenge for their terrible timing, oh yes, next time it is sunny and nice outside, I will be sick - with spring fever & mini-itis!

A talented artist who goes by the username COOPERation makes the mini cartoons - you can search for a post by him, then go to his gallery and there are lots and lots of cartoon MINIs, there should be one at least similar to yours!

 

Thanks. I know what you mean about the job. My poor girl is back at the shop after one weekend of driving. I found a problem with being the first to buy something. The rims I bought apparently didn't come with the pressure senors for the tires. After they finally installed them, they won't sync with the system, so I keep getting a low tire light! The SA can't figure out how to fix it so they have to go to MINI and see if they can find an answer. I hope to get her back by Mon. They will have had her for a week. They've spent more time with her than I have. Oh well there is nasty weather this weekend anyway, so I will get her back as it improves.

 

Caulyne...What's the Word??!! What does your MA say on when Delivery will be able to take Delivery??

 

Picked up MINI without a name this morning. 3mi on the odometer at delivery, yet somehow the 27 miles back home put me over 80.

 

No news yet... Still trying to make sure that they honor the deal that we agreed to when I ordered... ::sigh::

Trying to keep myself busy in the meantime. I keep seeing minis in town.. and SV isn't a big town! heheheh I may have to just go commandeer one! heheh

 

Where are you ordering from??? I can't believe they would not keep the agreement, what ever it was...do you have any hints that they might back out?? What Gives???

Still here waiting for the rest of you to get your cars.

Today will hopefully be the 1st day I've had mine when it hasn't rained all day, or at least the whole time I'm not at work. So the plan is to wash, detail, motor, and take pics.

My MINI is a boy - the MA said so, and gave me the window sticker which they had laminated and said it is his birth certificate. Still trying to decide on a name, not too surprising considering how long it took to decide on color and options.

 

Short version? We'd agreed on some freebies (stripes and roof graphic install) and they don't have a vinyl guy right now, so I asked for something else to honor the original deal.(Which was worth about $500.) The sales manager and I are playing phone tag. I have had a great experience otherwise and hope to have this sorted out before delivery day.

 

Finally took delivery of my cooper today! It has been fun. I already had an interesting chance to figure out that Reverse in the stick shift is not where I am used to it being! Lots of nice little things to learn about my new car.
AND the Oxygen Blue looks great! PHEW!

Congrats richardw, please post pictures when you get a chance! I know what you mean about the reverse! Not really since I only drive auto, but its a lot different than my previous car, and I'm still getting used to the wipers and turn signals.

'Jack' has finally spoken and accepted a name! Got him cleaned up and here is a sample of some new pics in my gallery.

 

I was going to get a checkered roof, but I'm not sure if that is what I really want now... So, I'll figure something else out at some point and call AC.

They worked out a deal I'm happy with, so now just a bit more of a wait.

Just asked the ULTIMATE Question of my MA...When can we expect to take Delivery of MOLLY by Thursday, Friday or Saturday of NEXT WEEK!!!

 

It appears that the last of our week 10 group will be taking delivery this weekend. For those still waiting it's worth it. When we went to p/u ours I had some questions however was too excited to remember most of them. Just have the salesman help you with setting the controls get out and have fun driving you new car
