Hello All,

Just joined NAM after ordering new MCS this weekend . I am told that I am in week 10 production slot, which is the first week in March. Dealer estimates delivery in about 6 weeks (to East Coast).

Apparently the new Clubman is selling like crazy and production slots for it are now into May at my dealership. I am told that this does not impact the MC/MCS however.

Looking forward to hearing from others also in week 10.

Mine is scheduled for 1st week of March also. My MA says my build date *might* get bumped up a couple days, which would seem to put me in week 9 if it happens...but it says week 10 on my paperwork so thats probably what I'll be in. Waiting to get my production date, so I can do more waiting!

Nice color choice, by the way! I am also on the east coast, maybe our MINIs will be ship-mates.

Congrats on your new Mini!! You definitely chose the correct color,IMHO. I'm still waiting for my car to appear in the Owner's Lounge--apparently that takes a few days.

I'm in MA not too far from you. BTW my daughter just purchased a 08 MC several months ago, which is what got me interested in the first place. So far I've been able to drive hers in the rare moments when she's not paying attention--not sure how long that will last though.....

 

Well, talked to a lovely guy at ASK MINI today, and I'm officially in week 10!! My three month old is staring at me like I'm a crazy woman because I cheered when I got off the phone...

Now.. back to waiting! And being a left-coaster, I'm in for a wait!

Not that there will be any news.. but anyone else trying really hard not to come up with a reason to call ASK MINI?

That was a really long conference call.. maybe I should call ASK MINI.

Maybe they magically decided to build my car today instead of when it is scheduled.. maybe I should call ASK MINI.

I'm being strong so far, but I bet I'll crack this afternoon. Not that I expect there to be anything new. Maybe a specific date, rather than just week 10?

I would never have imagined that I'd be like this over a car.. heheh.

I feel utterly pathetic. It's like being 7 and waiting for Christmas morning...

 

couldn't resist calling ASK MINI again today, this time they said I'm scheduled for week #10. ah well, I live really close to the VDC it will go through, I hear that's good for a couple days less wait since they don't have to transport it very far to the dealer's. has it really only been a week since I ordered?

 

when i called today i asked if they ever get annoyed with us constantly calling, but the guy said he actually enjoys our calls because of our reactions

 

Mine was build on the 19th... it's moved to the "Awaiting Shipment" Status via the lounge.... I've checked the WW Site a few times over the last day or so but no hits just yet, called AskMINI only once... great young lady answered the phone!

 

Have you tried plugging your VIN number into the shipping line web site to find out if it has been loaded yet??

 

OOps... just realized that WW is the shipping web site!!!

I have an idea, see if this works, or not?
Since we are all Week #10, the 1st person who gets an actual Build Date lets the others know.
Then we can get excited that WE are that much closer. And once we've heard of one Build Date they are all sure to follow in some kind of order.
It would be neat to see how this works.
Who's on 1st...that sort of thing.

Had a dream last night that my mini arrived early... then again, same dream had George Clooney showing up for dinner... so who knows! heheh

 

GREAT Dream on both counts caulyne. I'd LOVE that one as well. I'm calling Tuesday, 1 week after placing Order. Hope they won't mind.

 

My build week is 10 also. I'm looking forward to be a part of this week build group week.Already I know of 3 b-days mine included and about 10 people so far have that have posted replies that are just as excited about this as I am.
I ordered an S Chili Red/Black 6spd zenons anthracite headliner dsc lsd clothseats white turn signals rear fog auto dim mirror rainsense wipers(I live in Wa st) cold weather pkg cruise control It's goin' to be a wait but what a group we have so far

 

it is so funny... as the clock ticks down I'm still debating whether to add the bonnet stripes..... and maybe nav.....

this is worse than when i ordered my 330i a couple years ago (the mini is replacing it......gas guzzler)

Okay... as I didn't want to talk to a real person since the automated said I was scheduled without a specific start date, and because I may want to call for a little pick-me-up this afternoon... I did a little searching.

Left-coasties: Looks like our Minis should be on one of the following ships. I'm thinking that most of us probably won't make the March 3 one, but March 10 looks good to me! (East coasters-- you can pull up a similar schedule with the East Coast ports as the destination on the WW site.)

Also, while I don't think I'll name the car until I meet it, I did have a stroke of inspiration in the wee hours of Saturday night. With an infant, I seem to see a lot of the "wee hours"... But, I'm kinda diggin' "MoneyPenny" for my little BRG baby. Subtle, and understated, but fun and flirtatious? We'll see how it goes.
