Anyone know how many mini's the boat takes? The TRIANON has 245 at terminal now...

 

It looks like a storm off the English coast has delayed departure of some of the vessels leaving Southampton today; Liberty is shown as leaving this "PM."

Today's Boston Globe has a picture of the Dutch ship "Artemis" sitting on the beach -aground-off the coast of French Brittany.

"Hurricane force winds and heavy rain battered parts of Britian and Europe, disrupting travel and closing ports."

 

Just talked to my MINI Sales-manager who said that my MINI is due to land in Charleston in 5 days 3/16.... WOW!! I could be driving Twiggy within the next 10 days or so... I'm happy!

Courage hasn't updated on either of the ship/weather map sites but arrival in Charleston has been pushed back to the 23rd on WW's schedule.

Things are starting to come together...

My dealer's paperwork guy called me today to remind me to get a move on with my loan applications, etc, because he thinks delivery could be as soon as 2 weeks! That would be one helluva quick turnaround thru the VDC. Made an appointment to see him on the 21st.

I ordered my Wet Okoles, the price I pay for needing standard seats and not wanting to sit on hot leather or leatherette. Black with white piping, hope they look OK w/ my interior! Got a 'baby shower' gift from my husband, a Zaino detailing kit like he uses on his mini.

I'm still clueless about the Trianon... It seems to be waiting for room in the port. ahhh

We're so happy for you, 'Size'! I still don't know any updated status on Watson who's been listed as waiting for a vessel assignment since 3-7-08. Have a call into my MA to see if he's got any updated info [sigh]. Hope the bad weather doesn't delay too many folks babies.

 

k3nt: how can you tell? the aislive date for that ship hasn't been updated since last night, at least thats what it shows for me.

on the vessel details, TRIANON just changed it's departure status to today, I believe it has already set sail....

 

OK...I'm confused. According to the WW site the TRIANON has left Southampton, with NONE of US aboard. But the aisliverpool site shows her Destination as Southampton. Has anyone confirmed that their MINI boarded the TRIANON??

 

Checking WW site again shows 150 VINs in "Waitlist Status"...not sure what this means. There are a Total of 382 VINs attached to Booking #GBSOU618638. Anyone else NOT HAPPY!!??

I was supposed to be aboard as well. The various websites are confusing at best.

Best case . . . we are aboard but WW has not updated the info.

Worst case . . . we missed the boat and have to wait for another ride.

I am not sure where you are but it takes an additional two weeks to get to the west coast from the east.

I am hoping for the best, but preparing for the worst!!

 

dvlnsyde I'm in WA so technically in the same boart (pardon the pun) as you. But the aisliverpool site is showing the TRIANON heading towards Southampton and the ship_movement site is showing that the TRIANON will dock @ 23:59 12/03/08. So hopefully we will ALL make this crossing. Check your VIN as in my previous post the WW site is showing 150 VINs as "In Waitlist Status".

Our Clubman S completed on sunday the 9th and is awaiting transport. None of the helpful AskMini people have been able to tell me more than that.

I'm not sure it will work right now since you're awaiting transport, but once you get on the boat, it should tell you exactly where the boat is crossing the ocean. Just search by "auto cargo" on the right side using your VIN. I was awaiting transport for about 5 days before i was listed as on the boat. This website should tell you the name of the boat, once you're boarded, and when/where it will be porting in the U.S.

It's a pretty handy website -- too bad i didn't learn about it until after i was already across the ocean! :-P
