I'm feeling a little sad - my car is STILL sitting in Charleston! I guess the weather here in Dallas has delayed the shipping (or at least that was my MA's best guess yesterday), so I won't get behind the wheel until sometime next week.

My MA estimated they would receive my MINI on Monday!! It's been released to the carrier. Let's hope for next week!!

 

I hope your MA is misinformed Holly, maybe you'll get a nice surprise. We probably won't see ours for a week after it gets delivered to the dealer. Busy schedules won't wait, so a drive up to take delivery will have to wait. On the positive side, we will have a week of vacation to meander around Texas doing gentle break-in miles.

Mar 6 Unloaded at Indianapolis
Mar 8 Parked in my Garage

The MA Was incredibly helpful in my aquaintence with the New Friend.

Yahoo! The perpetually behind the times MINI site lists us as "At the Dealership." Now I'll have to resist the urge to play hooky from work to go pick her up. It's going to be a long week!

 

Looks like the tail end of the week 5/6 cars are out and about. Our new one is a Feb 9 car. It delivered today.

 

Wow - I love the silver stripes on the PW body - never would have put them together, but it's a real beauty!

I have added two pix of Randolph to my gallery for you to see. Sorry the roof is up, but it was a little cold and windy and didn't want anything to blow into the car. I did put a coat of Prima Epic on it this morning. Might as well protect it before it is driven too much.

 

That is one fine car, MSMINGEL! I really love that color of red!

WOOHOO! My MA emailed me this morning - the car is *finally* on its way home to mama! He said I could get it late Wednesday or early Thursday! Guess which one I'm pushing for??

Congrats Holly!! I got word from the dealership that my MINI is THERE. They've got to put my viper stripes on and tint the rear windows. I'm picking him up on Saturday afternoon.

 

Looks like I finally get mine too! Delivery to dealer was delayed by the 13 inches of snow we had this past weekend.

Mine rolled off the truck this afternoon and I stopped by to snap this pic.

They're going to hopefully find time to install the JCW Aero Kit tomorrow and have it ready to pick up Wednesday!

I'll post a pic of mine sometime Saturday night or Sunday morning. I'm taking Amtrak from St. Louis to Kansas City and then driving back Saturday afternoon.

 

Wow. I take it for granted that my MINI dealer is only 20 minutes from my home. Some of you need to travel a long way to get to the nearest dealership.

I'm not sure I would have even considered a MINI if there wasn't a dealer in town.

 

There actually is a dealer in St. Louis. Just got a much better deal in KC, so I took it. Nothing against the dealership in STL, the MA was very helpful and nice but money talks.

 

Same here, tjtull. Our very helpful, attentive, and patient MA earned our business and made it worth our while to purchase away from home.

 

It does make a big difference!!

 

That's why it's taking my car so long to get to Miami! It's been sitting in Ohio the whole time! (Mine is just like the one behind yours in the pic - DS/B MCS w/Bridge Spokes.)

Seriously though, your car looks sweet. Gonna look even better w/the JCW Aero kit.
