I am at work and for some unknown reason they have the 2w site blocked. I can't get to the page that you enter your VIN. I called 866-Ask-MINI this morning and they told me, mine was enroute to the port. I will really be disappointed if I don't make the TASCO. Last evening I was familiarizing myself with all the associated tracking websites.
She's a fine ship! She brought me and others our MINIs a couple of months ago. See here for our journey with some info that might help you for this voyage. Also try this link to see where she is (or was) in the UK area. Good luck and have fun tracking your cars!
For a while, I thought I missed the TASCO. I had almost given up hope, but when I got home from work I checked the cargo status and my VIN was listed. Departure is now listed as 20:00 11/12/07.
Bottoz, you can't go by what is on the WW site. That is just a schedule and is not real time. The stuff that gets highlighted in red just does it by what day it is. To get up to the minute info check out http://www.ais-live.co.uk/Solent%20S...ementsabp.html

Me too... I was thinking I was going to get the next west-coast ship, leaving the 17th. I don't remember what it's called, and heck it doesn't matter now, but I'm glad they delayed it!
Bottoz, how about editing your starting post to include the TASCO's call sign. It is LAON2. That way others coming onboard can get all the necessary information from your post.
teachinkids, you won't be able to see anything on the sailwx site until the ship is fairly far from land. It takes a day or two of journeying before it shows up. The sailwx site will then update about once a day.
I thought I would take a look at the Southampton webcam this morning, about the time of the TASCO's departure. Look what appeared. I studied the maps and the webcam views over the weekend and figured the TASCO was berthed just to the left of webcam.
Has anyone been able to track the TASCO. If not, I guess we will have to revert to deadreckoning navigation. The TASCO was traveling at 21kts when I was observing her on radar in open water. If we assume a speed of 20kts, thats 480nm in a 24hr period. At 1400z 12/14 (7:00am MST) she was underway 48 hrs and should have covered 960nm of the 2568nm distance from Southampton to Halifax or about 37% of the distance.
