If your reading this today -- October 7, 2019 = I have ONLY posted at the end to see if any of the original posters still have their Mini's... I started this post 11 years ago, when we were all following our Mini's across the Ocean - Fun time... People do not seem to do this any longer,,, I ordered a New Mini a few weeks ago but the board does not seem to follow the new cars the way we used to...???



I am starting this tread in the hopes my Lonely Mini' sitting on the dock and watching her friends all leave will be able to board the Tasco... If you get a boarding pass, let us know... Keep you eyes open for a little lost Pepper White Cooper...lol

 

If you post the booking number it will aid people that are new to the WW site and save them time locating it.

My MINI is on the dock waiting for loading aboard COURAGE! On-line posts giving advice on tracking were very helpful and accurate - its very easy to navigate the Wallenius Lines site! Offload in Charleston due 1 Oct, arrival at dealership in Kansas City sked for around 10 Oct or thereabouts - can't wait!

For those who are new to tracking, the link below is for the ASIfree tracking site. Tasco has left Bremerhaven Germany and should be on the map well making the trek to Southampton.

Where did you get your booking number from? Did you car's VIN show up on WW's web site?

 

When you enter your VIN # on the WW site, if you will be on a WW ship, and that ship is within 24-48 hours (roughly) of arriving at Southampton the WW site will show a booking number, voyage number, and other info.

 

You can check your MINI's status on the WW site with your VIN - at "Auto Cargo" - once you plug in your VIN, if your car's been booked, you'll get Cargo Status History page which will have your booking number vessel name, voyage number, etc. All these numbers are interactive, and you can click on them for further details. Very useful site.

 

I've entered my VIN number and nothing yet...!!! Does this mean my MINI will not make it on to the COURAGE? or do I still have some hope of sea legs by tomorrow's departure?

 

There is the possability it could be "added" before departure, but that is just a "chance". Also if you are not going to the west coast, then you could be on the K-line, NYK lines. If that is the case then you need to contact your MA since those lines do not provide online tracking of auto cargo. Hope this helps some.

It looks like I made it on the Tasco!!! After sweating it out all day yesterday with no status and thinking I would have to wait for the next ship on the 24th, I checked this morning and my VIN showed up! So far there are 206 of us on board.

Here's to a fun and smooth cruise!!!

 

My MINI is sitting at the Dock and I can't get anything from WW... Ask MINI tells me it might get on the ship leaving today... but I don't think it will happen...

How can I get more info on the chances of my MINI making it on today's boat...?

How will I know if it will make it on the K Line ship on Monday...?

I'm in the East Coast... so TASCO is out of the picture...



I guess it will ship when it ships... the waiting is a bummer!

 

If you are at the dock you can save time and fustration by forgetting about ASK MINI, they have no ship updates and anything they do tell you is just that persons "guess". The OL can be very slow to update and by the time it does you could be to the US.
If you board any ship other than a WW lines, you best hope for info is your MA, the other lines do not offer online cargo info.
If you check the Southapton web page it has a live schedule showing all departures, you can see what other ships besides WW ones will be daparting for a port near you. Hope this helps some and post any questions and I'll try and help with some sort of an answer.

 

Great news... I was really bummed out! But good news at the end! My MINI got its sea legs today!

Pic is of the Southampton Port, Tasco will be at the Eastern Dock, berths 34/35. Estimated arrivial time is 14:30 (UK), the port page has a live time schedule.
In the pic the ARC blue/white ship (sail boats near by) is where the Tasco will be docked, the Mini car storage area is to the left of the ship.
