All aboard the TASCO Leaving SOUTHAMPTON 9/17 = PORT HUENEME, CA 10/8
Maybe it hasn't actually left yet because the AISlive site still shows it sitting at the dock. However, the WW site shows that is sailed (shown in red). :impatient

DELAYED
The WW site updated showing Tasco as having left the SH port. All three of the tracking sites I use still show her at the port, also the SH live shipping info now shows her scheduled to leave at 4:00PM (UK) on 9/18.
So appears that the WW site has not updated with a changed departure date.
Will have to wait and see if the date has actually changed or not.

I wonder what the delays are about.
He needs a ride to the East Coast, missed the boat Saturday so he's negotiating to see if the captain will swing by South Carolina on his way to Port Hueneme.
We had better NOT be waiting for you
The Tasco is headed to the WEST coast...lolI have been checking the http://aisfree.aislive.com/Influx.as...%20Southampton
Its now 7:08 PM in Southampton - Tasco is still at the dock???? Its been rumored the Capt is getting laid and not ready to leave as yet???lol
Hi all,
My NF red MCC is on the TASCO. looks like it's underway, was scheduled for yesterday. I have been on the dock since the 15th, and production completed since 9-9-07. My original order was on 7-31-07 but did not start production till 9-5-07. I think I read some where that they close the plant for august. Also I there are 202 MINI'S on board to the west coast.
Thanks for all the links, this is great fun.

Yep. It is off of the Departed list now so we should see some progress in the voyage soon!

Hopefully there won't be any more delays.

I would like to believe this, however - this link still shows it sitting on the dock.... http://aisfree.aislive.com/Influx.as...%20Southampton
I know the link is updating because I have been here at the computer most of the day doing other work and I "refresh" this link - the shapes in Green show a ship moving - as I refresh - those green shapes do move... the ships that are tied to the dock are in yellow and TASCO has been yellow now for several days.. Believe me, I want to be wrong here...

I hear ya, but you gotta have faith. The only thing keeping me hopeful is that the TORONTO was on the Departed list leaving at the same time as our ship. It also came off the list and still shows on the map at the dock. Only time will tell....

Go to this link above. it shows that the TASCO is underway and if you hover the pointer over it it will show the speed and direction as well as other info.
Hope this helps.

Thanks jeffwt! I was beginning to give up hope because the Toronto had left the harbour but the Tasco was is still being shown at the dock on the AISLive site.
Anyway, it won't be long now!

finally, this link just now shows the Tasco moving..
http://aisfree.aislive.com/Influx.as...%20Southampton
So, lets see who can follow it the most - from what I have learned, once it gets a few miles out to sea - unless the Capt posts - we loose it until it gets within a few miles of Panama???

right now I am watching both AISLive and AISLiverpool.... Live and liverpool each is showing the Tasco taking a totally different route? WTF.. Live has the Tasco making a right out of the bay and the Liverpool has it taking a left and going around the Newport- island??? fun to watch but someone is really screwed up here - lol
I stand Corrected - Tasco just made a 180 turn and now is headed the same way as on Liverpool??? got to laugh....

TASCO
For any that have not found this info.

Tasco does not appear to use the AIS system, so unless the Captain does have it and checks in, she will be in the dark till off the coast of Panama. I have a few other tracking sites but as of now she is not showing up on any maps, which is not that uncommon for WW ships, less than 40% of them are trackable at sea.
