i appologize about such a short intro thread, but i was at the hendrick mini dealership, and we had to go finalize the purchase of my mini.

okay. i'm mike, i'm going to be 24 on monday, so it's kind of a b-day present to myself. i'm just out of the armed forces (little under a month out), but i'm considering going into the ANG (air national guard), as well as going back to college for automotive.

if anyone would like to know anything else, feel free to ask

i was in the active duty airforce.

i had a minor medical issue, which basically kept me from getting enough sleep, so i was late a LOT. so honorable discharge, which means i can get back into the guard.

Mike, welcome to NAM and getting your MINI.

Tell us more about your MINI (birthday present, good idea ), post some pictures when you have them.

it's actually a b-day present from me to me. this is the second car i've gotten for a b-day. the first one i got myself a WRX. actually, sorry....it was for graduation.

it's astro black, white roof, no actual options except for the sunroof. i actually wanted to get it without (i think it would weigh less. less weight = win) i will get some pics up on monday (depending on when i get insurance)

i'm also going to be going to the mini-meet here in charlotte on tuesday.

edit: that pic is from a really long time ago. i was 18 in that pic. lol.

alright, so i finally picked it up today, and it's FREAKIN AWESOME! though there are some issues that i have. i can't for the life of me remember how to make the digital readout on the tach show speed, and the interior of the windows, after being rolled down and back up had some sort of film on them. that's all the issues i have. lol

To show the speed on the digital readout, hit the end of the turn signal stalk multiple times until it reads the mph (not the average mph, but real time), then leave it alone. It will magically pop into the top window

lol. i took the plate off my skyline that i had when i was in japan, and managed to sneak it home. i didn't think anyone would have that, plus, it makes it easier to tell who i am.

just something a little different

this was my friends. it was exactly the same. i didn't have any pics of mine. :(

also: the japanese letting before the 300 says 'okinawa' that's the island i was on. 300 is the engine code (amount of power it has) Y is for american, and the last four are the actual license plate number. the one on the mini says 300 because mine was a year older than this one.

i also had a Eunos roadster (1989) and a BMW 320i (1988) and i've got pics of those 2

Mike, good pictures, I like the classic look AB/W in the Cooper.

Remember, a lot of the good drivers in justacooper blow the doors off the MCS drivers on a the track at MINI driving events.

Learn how to drive your MC fast and safe with the clubs and you will have a blast.

Cool front plate, that's a keeper.
