Another Newbie
Hi there. I wanted to take a moment and introduce myself officially before I start posting. I've been lurking for a few weeks now while shopping for a Cooper S. Finally found an '06 that will scratch the itch.
I've typically been a BMW guy, having owned four M3's and currently an X5 and R1100S. When I first started shopping MINI's, I was a little apprehensive about switching from rear drive to front, and about going to a much smaller car...until I drove a friend's 2004 Cooper S. Wow, I haven't had that much fun on a curvy road in a long time.
So throwing caution to the wind, I sold my M3 to give MINI ownership a shot.
I've already learned a ton just from lurking, and I'm looking forward to being a part of the discussion.

Congratulations on the RG MINI, welcome to NAM, too.
If they had RG on the 07, it would have been my color of choice. I do like my DS/W but RG/S or RG/RG would be excellent.
Pictures of your MCS.
Enjoy and drive safe.

I will look for pictures.
Here are some pics, courtesy of the dealership— and no, I wasn't joking about the snow.
Both my wife and I became quite accustomed to it. That said, we love the beach too—thus why we moved back!

Beautiful MINI...congrats!
I did 30 months in Monterey back in the late '80s while stationed at the Naval Postgraduate School. Over 22 years of active duty, it was the best tour of all and an awesome place to live. Kinda like being on a permanent vacation.
Nothing like being able to play peninsula golf, walk along the beach, and hit the ski slopes -- all in a single day!
