Hello...
Hello...
Hi I'm Element. I have found a recent interest in Mini Coopers after doing a lot of research of cars made in England. The primary reason I have found these cars interesting is because they are compact yet are able to fit four people. And I love the Go Cart feel of them. Hope my welcoming was as good as it could get. Here's to you motorists.
Yes I do. I have my eyes on the Mini Cooper S 2002+ models. And I also favour the old Minis. I really enjoy these cars. I can happily say that hopefully a Mini will be the first and only car I ever drive. I am only 16 and getting ready to receive my licence soon.

They will fit 4 people - However, you all better be small.... I am 5'6" I can sit in the back just fine - I would not want to travel very far back there and the driver has to keep the seat well forward...... Still love the car - just not really plan on packing in 4 people often or ever...

Yeah there is a Russellville Alabama as well. How many hours away from me are you?
Hi Element! Both the New MINIs and the classic Minis are worth a young person's attention. I think the technology of the MINIs is more suitable for a new driver. . . and probably more suitable for his/her mechanical skill as well. Most of the old Minis require lots of repair. Not all drivers consider that to be fun.
With that said, I would recommend you take your car, after you get one, to a teen driving school. Beyond driver's education, there are some great schools, usually quite inexpensive, where they let you take your car on skid pans and around closed courses. Gives you a chance to find where the limit is when you are off the street so that you don't have to go near it when you are on the street.
Good luck finding your car. Electric Blue is my all time MINI favorite color.
Oh, one of the cool things my kids did: My 16 year old son and my 20 year old son took the younger's Saab to a driving school in Colorado Springs. They had a blast . . . from a dad's perspective it was great they had a good experience together as the older was in transit from Alaska to Germany. On the downside there was about an $1800 repair bill . . . but it was just from shaking out weaknesses in the car that would have popped in the next 6 months anyway!

You have good taste in cars, and will not be disapointed. I got my first MINI when I was 16 as well. First thing I ever drove. Soon, you will hate to drive anything but another MINI.
