Well the parts needed for JCW suspension has not shown up yet at the dealer. They didn't even start the dealer accessories on my car until wed.
So I have to wait until next week. The earliest would be Monday the latest Friday. So my car will be sitting at the dealer for almost 2 weeks!!!

On a good note I ordered some Hamann NM4 wheels so I'll have them put those on before I drive them off the lot. The wheels will come before the car is finished.

At first I thought you were kidding, but then I checked the Brecht site. Oh, man. He is so in the wrong line of work.

I am disproportionately amused.

We now return you to your regularly scheduled program...

I had the same issue with my stripes. It's a wonder they can't plan enough ahead of time to get the parts in when your car gets there.

Do you have a picture of those wheels?

And the write up on it being made for the mini - have to scroll down to the middle of the page where it talks about the wheels:

http://www.tuningmag.net/?name=mini-...-tuning-hamann

I was debating between the above pics
and the Hamann anniversary I. I decided with the above because it is a 17 inch vs an 18 for the Anniversary spoked wheel and I just think its overkill for a mini.
Both are 8" wide wheels though and the deep dish is what also made my final decision. I love that look.

I haven't heard a thing from my MA. I'm thinking there will be little he can tell me about my car when I get it that I don't already know. I'll probably be able to point out a few things to him myself!

For the front plate, is there something that goes behind the plate, or does it just screw into the body? I'm hoping for the former.

T minus 19.5 hours until I pick mine up.

Did anyone spend some serious time doing a pre-delivery inspection, or did you just sign the paperwork, take the keys, and go?

There's a black license plate carrier thing that is secured by 2 torx screws to the bumper. If i had a torx screwdriver with me i would have removed both the frame and mount from my front bumper.

I just looked carefully along the body panels to make sure there wasn't any dents or paint damage, didn't go for a test drive. Mine had 4 miles on the odo when i took delivery.

The way the bumper's broken up where the plate goes in conjunction with the way they put my stripes on I think mine's actually going to look better w/ the front plate than w/o. Which is fine with me. That's one less thing to get pulled over for, plus I can show off the personalized plates I'm getting.

I PICKED UP MY MINI!!!

I got the call around lunch today that my mini was ready. Luckily, I was able to drop everything and go right over.

It is my pleasure to introduce Graham...

Nice red mini, Jimmie....you are right...cars are rolling in...my turn!!!!

Has JCW Tuning, JCW Suspension, so you can see what the 1/2 inches of lowering can do...which i'm happy with and for sure I will put on my set of 18" Hamanns when they come in. Also the JCW Aero, and JCW Wing in the back. I had to have it look aggressive as much as possible...I sold my 335i BWM Twin Turbo for this car.

Don't have it yet...I was at the dealer to finish the financing...pick it up tomorrow afternoon. Will take one day of leave for this ocassion.

Congratulations to all. I think I must be the only left in this week production to not get the car yet. I haven't even been called in to do paperwork or anything yet.

I just checked the Owner's Lounge and it no longer gives me a "Where's My Baby-- Track your MINI" option. I still don't have the car.

I don't know. I'm gonna call sometime today to find out. Since they don't have my money yet, you'd think they'd still be trying to take care of me.
