Probably. It just seems a little odd to me that each one is painted individually; wouldn't a pre-painted Sparkling Silver match any SS car that comes in, and so on? I guess at least this way I can be guaranteed a perfect color match, huh?

 

I just checked the sailwx.info site, and the Maersk Wind is getting so close to port! 2 hours ago it was just west of San Diego near San Clemente island.

 

I forgot, the driving lights will also be installed at the VDC.
My MA said that the driving lights are one of the most time consuming thing to do...hmmm?

Doesn't seem that complicated to me.

 

I got a call from the dealer today (while I was sleeping), and my car's there now!

I'm tempted to drive down and poke around the lot to see if I can find it even though they're closed.

 

I think the Maersk Wind has reached Port Hueneme by now! Woo hoo! We're getting close, folks!

 

I found out my Mini will be at the dealership on Tuesday!

Looks like the Maersk Wind should officially be in dock today, if you notice the pdf it shows ... 795/bmw/157/mini .. not sure what the numbers are about ... maybe there are 157 Mini's on the ship?

Anyway, that's about all i can find, they don't seem to have a webcam to speak of .. and that's about all the info I can squeeze out of that site. BUT! Our Cars are on dry land again!

 

The 157 does mean 157 mini's! I checked on that about a week ago on this website: http://schedule.2wglobal.com/AppTracking/cargoTrack.do Typed in my vin and then clicked on Bill of Lading and there were 157 entries (or Cargo ID's). Not that the amount of mini's on the ship means that much but if you were curios, that's the amount.

As for the mini's being here, I'm so stoked. I'm not getting anything put on mine at the VDC or dealer, so I hope I get it in the next couple days or so.

 

My car is at the dealer!! I'll be picking her up this week sometime, just not sure at this point when! I'm aiming for Wednesday or Friday! Woo hoo!

 

Hey, got a call from the Dealer...the car is there!
I have to wait about a week for additional accessories though.
So it took about 35 days.

 

Update: car is at the dealership right now! picking up Wednesday at 5:00, iPod adapter being installed as we speak.

 

My dealer's still waiting for my stripe extensions to arrive. They've known for, oh, a couple months now. You'd think they could have planned in advance.

If only I wasn't so excited maybe I could pretend I was cheesed off about the wait and score some free stuff to placate me.

 

I'm picking mine up at 5pm on Wednesday, too! I went and saw it tonight... It's awesome! Didn't get to sit in it but it looks great nonetheless! Can't wait!

 

Congratulations to you East Coasters (and points somewhat westward) on getting your cars (or at least having appointments to get them). Those of us on the West Coast aren't too far behind.

Sweet looking MINI, kfisto! I'm jealous of all you people that're getting to pick up your cars on Wednesday. My dealer's still waiting for the stripes for the stripe extensions to come in. You'd think they could have done that in the six weeks it's been since I put in my order, but nooooo. Durn procrastinators!

 

I drove to my dealer to take a look at mine, but I could not find it. It was after the dealership closed. So I'll just have to wait until I can actually pic it up. Still have some upgrades to add to it. Get it all done while it is there.

 

I saw mine last night too. It was in the mechanical bay getting the iPod adapter installed but I could see the back and sides pretty well. Wish I had remembered my camera!

 

Hmmm....no posts in a while...anybody got theirs yet? I'm still waiting.

 

Haven't gotten mine yet, but my dealer did call today to confirm what dealer options I'm having installed. I think we're getting pretty close here on the west coast. Looking forward to seeing my new baby :D

It has got to be getting close. I'd love to pick it up this weekend. I've got my finances in order and my mod list prioritized!

 

My MA and the Owner's Lounge both said it was scheduled to arrive today at the dealer and unless the alarm system is a dealer mod, I don't think there is any reason they should sit on it for a few days, unless they just like to torture us!
