Out of curiosity, did you buy yours from SA or Houston? I really can't believe there isn't a dealership in Austin. With Austin's culture and the University a dealership there would sell more than one in Dallas i bet.

 

I bought mine at San Antonio, which had mixed reviews but is so much closer than Houston. I agree about having an Austin dealership. It seems like a natural fit.

Just picked mine up in San Antonio and had a get-acquainted drive back to Austin. It's hard not to go back out and get in it again. I've named it Barton; Bart for short. I hope you all get yours soon!

All I have of my car so far is a 19mm Alta swaybar and my JCW Spoiler which came today. Soon and very soon.......

I'm insanely jealous of everyone who's gotten to pick their cars up already, but I did get to go see mine at the dealer yesterday. I'll post some (dark [it was night]) pictures later after I've gotten some sleep.

The clear bra's still got to be installed, but hopefully, baring any freak snowstorms like they're predicting, I should be picking it up for realz, y0 on Saturday.

 

Yes, that's me. And no, it wasn't planned. I just wanted to look nice and it's one of my newest shirts. I got lambasted (in a joking way) all evening for that!

 

Sorry couldn't post last night. I was spending too much time enjoying my mini. Hope those of you that don't have yours get yours soon. I spent half my time playing with all the gadgets in the car.

Just got an email from my MA. He says it looks like I'll be ready to pick up my car on Wednesday 12/19. This week is going to go slllllllooooooooooowwwwww.

 

I'm waiting on my MA to return my call to tell me the status. She said the end of this week it might be done with the additional accessories and inspections.

Are those the factory optional sport stripes? I notice they run continuously onto the hood scoop and down the whole front bumper. I was under the impression that they weren't that "complete". It was hard to know how accurate the online configurator was going to be.

I ordered the the sport stripes myself and am really excited to see such a complete job.

They're the factory sport stripes, BUT...you're right, they don't normally cover the bumper areas or the hood scoop. I had my dealer order a second set of stripes and they had someone cut them to cover the other areas. The sport stripes look good, but I think it looks double plus better with the extensions.

I was actually expecting the boot handle to be striped as well. Hopefully they'll take care of that w/o too much fuss.

 

The stripe work looks pretty impressive...plus I think the red mini looks the best with the viper stripes.

 

Hmmm, I haven't heard anything from Brecht. Who is your MA?

Unfortunately because of the ensuing snow storm they're predicting I have to put off taking delivery until Monday now. Boooooooo!
