My wife and I went into the dealership here in San Diego and we ordered our first MINI Cooper today.
MCS, BRG/BRG, Premium, Hyper Sport, DSC, LSD, white sport stripes front and back (which I hope to continue on the roof).
I just saw a post about someone with a smile on their face. I can totally relate. This process has been more fun than I can ever remember buying a car to be.
We don't have a name for it yet, but we're working on it.

Reason: Added a detail...
That's going to be a great looking MINI. I haven't seen many BRG/BRG, that's a good choice!! Congrats to you and your wife. I picked mine up today and it is a thrill!!
How much stuff can be done to the car once you've received it (vs. what needs to be done while the car is still in the factory)? The MA told me that for features like the Comfort Access System, that needs to be installed in the factory while the car is being built.
But I'm more interested in things like the exterior and rear view mirrors... Can I upgrade them once they're out of the factory? [And by upgrade them, I don't mean replace them with the foldaway exterior mirrors or the auto-dimming rear view mirror - I mean replacing the backs of them with the Union Jack design. Is that possible?] Sorry, long question.

I'm sure there's exceptions, but for the most part Mini dealerships seem to put a lot of effort into making the process a pleasant one. I've bought probably 20 new cars over the years, and my two Mini buys (both at Moritz in Arlington, TX) were a real pleasure. You're going to love that car!

We are involved with the WCM club - however - we didn't do the Brecht Run as we also have 3 Classic Cars and it was British Car Day. This year, both happened to fall on the same day and we had already registered for British Car Day... We have a 58' MGA, a 67 and 71 Morris Minor Traveller.
We have two babies at home a purple haze (miniGarfield) and a hyper blue, but can't wait for our third...yeah, yeah, I'm dreaming but its nice to dream!
My car arrived at the Vehical Prep Facility in Port Hueneme 2 days ago. We're expecting it at the dealership any day now. We could take home our MINI this week!
Coming from someone who picked up their mini on Saturday, the waiting is the hardest part. I have thoroughly enjoyed every driving moment since bringing her home Saturday. I have almost 500 miles in only 3 days! Minis are the most fun to drive. Curves... No problem.... Acceleration..... no problem. Oh and don't be surprised when people approach you at gas stations asking about your mini. BRG is a great choice. Would have been mine if yellow wasn't my favorite color!!!!!!!!!
