US Ports of Entry for MINIs

Does anyone know what all of the possible ports of entry are for MINIs when they arrive in the US?

I have seen Port Hueneme in CA. What are the East coast ports - New York and Florida? I'm trying to figure out where my ship will come in at (once I'm on one). I live in Michigan.

Thanks!

The Vehicle Production Center is in New Jersey, but the actual port itself is in New York.

Yes, but the cars leave the ship and set tires down in NJ right at the VPC. It is billed as the port of NY (actually most everything around the tri-state area is billed as NY), but I'm pretty sure that the ship actually docks on the NJ side of the river so I'll side with Tharkun on the terminology.

Yours will probably come into NYC.

North East Marine Terminal

This is the link where I found the information I use. I know the WW site always shows the port of call as New York. But also WW shows west coast ships arrivng at Manzanillo, Panama. If you search that city it is on the Pacific side of the canal, on an island south of the canal. Actually they dock at the MIT port in Colon, Panama which is located just southeast of the Gatun lock.

http://www.neautoterminal.com/index.htm

This pic is from the link and the dotted line shows the old route, the new route is stated as saving 4 hours of transit time. The photo link on that site shows the docks with a WW ship. So this is how I made the assumption that the ships actually unload at this area and not a New York dock, but I very well could be incorrect.

I would like to see the NY port photo enlarged, it looks like an interesting pattern of colors sitting in the lot.

maps.google.com is your friend! Start with Jersey City, NJ and move a tiny bit south on the map.

Port of entry

I am assuming that if the WW site shows my MINIs Port of Destination as Charleston, SC, that that is where it is going, correct?

I would love to see it get off at NYC - that would shave another 6 days off my wait!

Six days to go from NY/NJ to SC? What are they doing, going in circles? Yes, I'm pretty sure that if your port of destination is listed as Charleston, your MINI will depart there.

The tracking of your MINI will definitely drive you nuts but hang on, it will be with you in the near future. Good luck!

Courious as to your location, if your Mini is being off loaded at Charleston I'm confused how it would save 6 days if it was off loaded in NYC as you state.
