so I went tonight to check our MCS out

My wife is in for a HUGE surprise tomorrow night. She has no clue that the car is here. I was going to buy her MCS as a gift but ordered it with her so she could pick out all her options. I told her it'll be here in two more weeks this morning.

I went tonight to the dealer to check out her MINI to make sure everything was in order and it is. It is an amazing car.
I can't wait for tomorrow evening!

The Delivery Area is a great idea. I didn't notice if my dealer had one, but I hope so - really makes for a cool photo op.

There must be some kind of variation on the stockholm syndrome that could be studied here...
Anger at the captor of your mini for not letting you know its really here, but overwhelming gratitude for relieving the wait.
Great idea, I love to do that kind of thing when I can!

Mine wasn't inside in a "delivery" area but away from rest of cars like a special showroom area and up on a platform area. When I approached the car I knew immediately it was my car. Your wife is going to be thrilled.
Geez mine was outside parked in the handicapped area. So much for presentation!
Looks great behind glass, I'm sure you and your wife will find it thrilling on the road. Nice gift for the lady in your life.
Enjoy and good rides. Put up more pictures of the delivery and your wife's reaction.

What a night!
I lied to her saying we were going to some business dinner with my collegues from work and on the way, we need to pass by the MINI dealer to drop off some financing paperwork.
We walk in and my wife sees her MCS and said "Hey wait a second, that's MY CAR!!!!!"
Her MCS was decorated with an enormouse red bow on the roof and a sign next to it saying "Congratulations! <my wife's name> Happy Motoring!" She started laughing and running around the car looking at it from all angles. Then she opened the car and more surprises... a stuff animal from Disney, Rémy from Ratatouille (my wife loves cooking) and an Apple iPhone (so she knows where to go using Google Maps and has music in her new car).
We took A LOT of pics with my digicam and phone. I'm planning to take some more pics later and tomorrow with my other cars so stay tune. I'll upload the pics within the next 24-36 hours.
Here's a quick pic that I took from my phone as our MA is going over the car with my wife...

And here is the configruation and options we got...
- MINI Cooper S
- Pepper White
- Black Roof and Mirrors
- Sports Package
- Rear Fog Lamp
- Auto with Agitronic Paddles
- Automatic A/C
- Anthracite Headliner
- Cloth/Leather: Pacific Blue
- Pacific Blue Color Line
- Driving Lamps
PS - As a shameless plug, many thanks to Victoria (our MA) and MINI of Universal City. We got the car in less than 6 weeks and she did everything just right!
PPS - The short antenna that I ordered for her doesn't fit.
Any alternatives? I read that the Alta antennas were pretty good.
PPPS - Is there any way for the driving lamps to be turned on without having to turn the high beams on? Ideally I would like to just turn the driving lamps on independently or with just the regular low beams.

Congrats!
The factory driving lights are made/installed so that they only work when the high beams are on. I have heard of people modifying the wiring so that they can be turned on independently, but I don't know exactly how they did it. You might do a search and find a thread with the steps involved.
