Who (is getting) got their MINI from Schomp (Denver)
Just curious about others pick up expierences so I know what to expect. My MINI arrives on the 18th and they want a week to get it ready. I'm trying to figure out what to check during pickup, what others expierenced, and in general how the pickup is going to go before I get there.
Thanks
Thanks
I ordered mine on the 28th of August from Schomp, and have a week 39 build. I was somewhat irritated given everyone else out there seems to be getting earlier build dates. They told me they would want a week for prep, too. Let us know how it goes!
Ralph Schomp is a great dealer in my book. I have bought my MINI there of course and before that we bought a Honda CR-V.
The service department is first rate with excellent response times and terrific customer service.
So why do they do all this? Because we are now looking at an BMW X-5 to replace our aging Expedition and Schomp is the only place I will look. Guess they planned it that way.
BTW - When I ordered my MINI last year (May 24th) I was to take delivery on July 14th. July 7th I get a call saying that my MINI was in and ready to go. So you might luck out and actually get it early.
Also - If you don't want them to detail it before giving it to you just tell them. Plus if you don't want them to drill holes in your bumper for the tags, tell them and then bring a no holes license plate holder with you. Colorado State law apparently prohibits dealers from sending cars off the lot without a mounted front plate.

Some people don't want the license plate mounted to the front bumper. They mount it by drilling two holes and then putting the plastic license plate holder on using screws. An alternative is the Go MINI Go no holes license plate holder (http://www.gominigo.com/18545.html) which uses the tow hook mount instead. Ralph Schomp will gladly not drill holes, but you must give them notice and supply them with the alternative mount before you can take delivery.
I am getting my MINI from Schomp. My MINI is crossing the pond right now and was wondering if they put their logo on the back of the car? I dont want them putting unnecessary holes on my tailgate. Thanks for any reply, can't wait to get my MINI.
Call you're MA and tell him that you don't want their sticker on the boot. They were happy to respect my request.
