Saturday before last we purchased a new 2007 Mini Cooper S! This is our second one. We owned a 2002 Cooper (not S) for about three years. It was our weekend car--Silver/black with leather, premium, cold weather and sport packages. But I always wanted the S, so we finally sold the 2002 about 2 years ago.

The new one is an S. Mellow Yellow with black roof. Purchased it off of the showroom floor. 6 speed. Sunroof, piano trim and upgraded stereo are the only options. Actually cost less than the first one, but way more fun. The Turbo power is incredible. Sport seats are much more comfortable than the first Cooper. Definitely worth the wait. BMW hit all the right buttons with the redesign.

The S is a total blast. Only problem, getting my wife out of the driver's seat.

You'll need the "Little Woman Jack"....its in the boot

 

Best feature of the new S versus the old Cooper is "power." Also, new electric power steering makes the S much easier to drive. And I really like the mellow yellow.
