Hello!! I am new!!
Hi!! I purchased my first MINI just about a week ago from Bob Smith in Calabasas Ca. It is an MCS R56 with paddle shifters in Laser Blue. I had thought about it for years and finally decided to take the plunge. I believe it is the coolest car I have ever owned! My other car I still have is a 2005 Pontiac GTO with an LS2 that has been modded and runs the 1/4 in 12.7 sec!! Fast, yes, but the new MINI is waaaaay more fun. I will sell the Goat soon. The funniest thing about the MINI is the rear fog lights. Those red lights are BRIGHT!!. I turned them on this morning while heading to work and a SEMI behind me flashed his lights and honked!! lol!! It is a good way to be annoying on the road. Anyway, I am glad to be here.

HAHAHA!! Thanx for the welcome...I am sure more will come. You may catch a sighting of me driving the 118 from Ventura to Moorpark. Funny thing about this car. It feels like 50 mph when I am doing 80 mph!!

Yes you are absolutely right about that speed. After 2 months ownership, my observations:
1) Driving the S makes driving fun. Power when you need it.
2) Parking in crowded lots, no problem.
3) Very roomy inside. More than it appears.
4) They say it's a "chick magnet"... if you are married, be careful when all of a sudden these pretty girls in Minis wave & smile...
you may find yourself in trouble without knowing why...

Welcome, ToMiTa! A beautiful MCS. We ordered ours on Wednesday and have 30-60 days to wait... My second car was a '68 GTO. Much fun. I'm expecting our MCS to be even better. Enjoy your new car!

Roomy is right!! It feels bigger inside than my GTO and ...Yes, I am married and have already received such attention while driving. Maybe I should wear a blindfold!! lol!! One thing I want to do is go on a drive or cruise with other owners. I am sure I will work that out.

Dunno. I am still a newbie. I do know that they were on the supplimental sticker at 1,450 dollars for chrome. They look like the factory cast ones.. The car was packed 3,000.00 and the only break I could get was 500 off on the wheels!! lol!! That is okay though because I am happy and it also means that this car should have a great resale value...........If, God forbid!!, I ever sell it!! I love it too much!!

Tomita, Welcome to MINI ownership. It is sharp. I like the wheels and color. You have any closeup shots of your wheels?

I actually am a good driver. Never got a ticket with almost 3 years in the GTO I have......but I have been followed because of the noise it makes!! lol!!
