Room for one more in here?
Greets to all - time for me to jump into the pool...
I test drove an MCS about 4 years ago and *loved* it, but the timing was bad and I had to make it a "maybe someday" purchase. Then just recently I became aware, at 58 years old, of just how fragile and temporary life can be, and I somehow ended up at the MINI place, driving an R56S. The rest, as they say, is history.
I did my homework, conducted a big-league lurkathon on this forum and ordered the car on 8/28. Build should be complete in 2-3 days.
Here it is:
MCS, 6spd, PureSilver/Black, Cold/Prem/Sport pkgs., LSD, Sport suspension, rear fogs, Lounge Carbon Black, chrome line int., anthracite headliner, dk. gray color line, piano black surfaces, HiFi, center armrest and the comfort access thingy (just too cool to resist)...
After delivery I'll probably add black viper stripes, full tint and some black or gray OZs. Oh, and a stubby antenna, too.
This will be car number 22 in my life and some of them have been pretty hot cars. My guess is that this MCS will fade a lot of those memories. All I can say is that I've hardly ever been as excited about a new ride!

Welcome to NAM and congrats on your order. I too decided that life was too short to drive a mundane vehicle so we've been a two MINI family since Feb. '06! I'm sure that you will be one happy driver when your MINI arrives.
