Ever since seeing The Italian Job I have wanted a Mini!

I had a chance to drive a modified '04 MCS (SC pulley, chip, exhaust, etc.) a few years ago and I fell in love. I always thought that the "go-kart" like handling was an exaggeration until then. I just test drove an '07 MCS 6 Speed and I am still in love.

I will be ordering an '07 MCS at the end of September when my current lease is up. Since I started looking, I have changed the order at least ten times!

This forum has been a great resource for deciding what options to get.

magic08mini, that's how i felt too, ever since the italian job, i've wanted one too. I watched the DVD again the other night to get excited ! i have the same problem...i can't decide, been changing the specs again and again. Manual? Auto? Dark Silver? Blue? I thk i've come down to dark silver, Blk roof, white stripes, chrome or blk mirror caps, 07 because the new 06 is just too hard to find and it's nice to have new things sometimes!

 

Welcome to NAM! I hope you find it a funa and helpful resource leading up to your order. Keep in mind that it can take a long time between your order and delivery (since you mentioned ordering, sounds like not off-the-lot, and you'll need to time that with your lease). Talk to your dealer, because the individual dealer allocations can have a big effect on quite how long it will take.

Theyre all awesome, too bad we cant have mulitiple MINIs for each day of the week! Dark Silvers are beautiful, but the 'blues' had me at hello!

 

i wish i had a different color MINI for each day of the week! that would be ideal.. I do love the Blue and the Drk Silver! tough...
I designed it in forza 2 to see how my MINI will look I like the blue a lot, looks great in pictures but i'm afraid it's got too much personality for me, i feel i've got to be eclectic all the time .. haha..

Thanks for the support. My MA (to be) told me 4 to 5 weeks, but I am reluctant to believe her. It's no big tho, as I will have another car to drive if my Mini is late.

I think I have narrowed my order down to this:
So, as you can see, I am almost there. The wait is killing me!:impatient

Now before bed, just a couple of Q's for the community.

Has anyone compared the Hi-Fi sound to the regular? My MA said the only way I would be able to listen to it, would be to order it (again, not believing).

Has anyone removed the CD player (or Monkey's mouth as I like to think of it)? Need to make room for Carputer Screen.

Finally, I have not even ordered the car yet, and I have a gripe. Who thought it was a good idea to put a baseball sized shift **** in there? That thing is HUGE! To quote a genius "This, grinned the Grinch, is the first thing to go!"-Dr. Seuss.

 

Cant you test drive the HiFi car, and then the other? I have HiFi, and the sound is awesome. Maybe one day I will upgrade, but for now I am a happy camper. You can always add the lights later, and at a lower cost than what the dealer wants by far. Your car sounds awesome, the cold weather package is a must, youll love the seats. Good choice on the tires too. Wish I didnt have runflats. They suck (on our roads), and cost too much to replace. Sorry I cant help you on the monkeys mouth thing!
