Hello all,

Some buy a car thinking they wont mod it. when I started my search i already knew i was going to. as soon as i can im going to upload some pics of the car and engine. This is my first post yet i need help already. The car has 6k in aftermarket in it yet i dont know all of what it has. This is what i know for sure from what little reasearch on the internet i havwe done.

-Alta smaller pulley and i think it I see the other pully that gets repladced im guessing 19% total.
-Alta intake the one with black plastic air box around it
-I think mabye a better IC with the Alta air director thingy
-Miltek exhaust and the rest of exhaust system is also aftermarket all the way up to the block (i see a 4-1 header in there from top view behind engine).
-Screamin demon and livewires
- It has some comp tunning done
- lightwieght ssr rims
- i think he may have done the head and cam cause it's kinda lopey at the light.
- Im guessing ariound mabye 220hp at the wheels mabye less i dunno. in 1st gear 30mph if i mash the gas the tires break loose readily all the way to redline with DSC off. It has LSD ( dont know if its an option on 03's)
-possible gearing or trannyt work not like vegas trany. car tranny.

there has got to be more done. I havent been contacted by previous owner yet. Any ideas? Oh and pics n next post. All speculation aside my butt dyno is happy real dyno this weekend.

15% is probably standard. Common mod

Not as common, may or may not do much

adds nothing. New plug wires can never add HP, only regain any lost from old wires.

If a new head, possible. without a head, doubtful its 220hp, Doubtful its a true 200

changing gears? expensive and I think very few have done that.

im dying to get to the dyno and find out what is really not stock about this car. Its hard to continue modding when you dont know where to start. Oh some more pics below.

Oh anyone know the max speed till redline in each gear i can tell from that if gearing has been messed with. Mind you only word of mouth ifo was from the dealer so it may have a clutch,flywheel or both when he said he thought the guy did sumthin to transmission. However when I had the focus the spec stage 2 clutch was far mopre aggressive than this one. and then again its a Mini not a focus

you can't go by the speedo ... go by gps

lightweight flywheel/different clutch possible and is done but will not add any HP

 

This is my first FI car and what a diffrence does the temp drop at the end of the day make.
Im probably going to woprk on the stock susp first but mabye do some water injection later.

If your car is an '03 and has an LSD then it is probably a Quaife as an LSD was not an option from the factory until '05.

The intercooler that you show in the photo looks like a stock one with the Alta shield/air director added.

Thx for the welcomes and help figuring this car out. Today I talked to a local dyno here in Ft Myers Florida and come to find out the specialize in old school minis and are moving twords the new ones. I explained i wanted a base run to figure out what it was making. This is when he told me about the minis and his website. Im so glad i found this place at random cause i was hoping i could find an aftermarket guy i could trust with my mini plus hes got a chassis dyno and can tune unichips. They are going to help me find all the non stock on my steed.

I just read about the 2 motor pickup with 1100hp OMG is all i can say lol dang i was hoping to get 250 tops in my mini mabye if i park in that pickups shadopw ill absorb some lol.
