I am looking for a set of 16" tires, it doesnt matter how much tread or millage all i need is tires to mount on the wheels. They wont be driven on so anything will do as long as it fits. if anyone is going to be getting new tires or has some old ones laying around i would be happy to take them from you.

You'll need to work really hard to mount 16" tires on Slites. Those are 17" rims.

 

i was mistaken i dont have S-Lights. i am not sure what they are called but they are the "V" spoke wheels and 16"

 

I hae a set of 16" run flats w/ 22K. They're pretty much worn out. I'll sell them cheap - need to cover the cost of dismounting them - and shipping might be more than they are worth. Where are you?

Now I'm curious - why do you want tires you're not going to drive on mounted on rims?

 

I have a set of runflats...Dunlop 5000s, with decent tread left, although one was plugged in center tread. They do not leak and are marked as per wheel.

The reason that i want tires is my dad (eamon aka seeya) also owned a mini and about 3 weeks ago my dad and myself were driving mines road for a memorial run with norcal minis and we had the misfortune of loosing control and driving off the side of the mountain. we rolled about 2 times for 200+ ft down the hill. the car is completely totaled, but my dad and i are fine. we are in the process of removing all the modifications and i would like the wheels and tires, since the tires have little wear and the wheels are 17" Team Dynamics. But inorder to remove them i need to replace them with something else, and instead of putting brand new tires off my car on a totaled car i want to find some very used tires to put on it.

 

When a previous car of mine was totalled by the insurance company, they wouldn't let me remove anything that was in the car except personal belongings. I couldn't remove the newly-installed stereo or speakers (Blaupunkt!), brand-new seat covers, chrome accessories that I installed, including the wheels and brand new tires. It TRULY sucked because I was hit head-on by a drunk driver after I had just left the PO to mail the FIRST loan payment!!! As I said, they let me remove personal belongings, including my graduation tassel, but that was it!

 

they are letting us take anything we want as long as we replace it with the stock part.

 

Can you replace with any ol' wheel that will fit? If so, check craigslist for the cheapest 4x100 wheels. Or does it have to be OEM Mini?

 

14" 4x100 wheels do not fit over the brakes - I know because I tried to see if a Honda Civic compact spare could be used.
