Looking for the cheapest route to a set of winter tires and rims. I dont care about the size, as I really dont want to spend much.

Any ideas?

So how much is dirt cheap to you? I have a set of 15" Bridgestone Blizzaks on steelies with only 500 miles/ 1 season on them. I would like to get about 400 + shipping for them! Let me know if that is in your range?
Motor on!!

I have a set of 17" S-Lites in fair condition with Blizzak WS-50s mounted on them. Tires have a lot of tread left. Will be selling the set for $300 soon. A colleague will have first refusal but if she passes I can sell them to anyone here.

I don't know if you are looking for true snow tires or just all-seasons, but I've got a set of 4 - 175/65/15 Continental ContiTouring Contact all-season tires. These tires were originally on the 15" holies that I purchased for winter use. They've seen one winter season of use and I've since replaced them with snow tires. The two tires that were on the front have 5/32" tread left and the two that were on the rear of the car have 3/16" tread left. $50 for all four plus shipping. I'd love to get these out of my garage.

Yep. Those tires came on the set of holies that I now have my snow tires mounted on.

You might try contacting your local dealership. I got the holies and those tires from my local dealer. They were one of several sets of 15" takeoffs that they had lying around that they were trying to get rid of. This was a couple years ago, of course, but I paid $400 for the holies with those tires on them (brand new at the time).

Hi, I'll be in the market for real snow tires and rims soon, if anyone has a good set in the Midwest.

Where in the midwest. I am in Chicago and have just put afternarket wheels on. My OEM 17" wheels are in the garage with runflats on them. My wife wants me to sell them. If interested let me know.

I'd prefer to simply have someone in the Chicago area pick them up to avoid shipping hassle.
