Winter in July! 15" Blizzak Winter tires on steel wheels
For sale are a set of four Bridgestone Blizzak snow tires mounted on 15 inch steel wheels. These were run for one winter about 5000 miles. These were on his 2006 MCS.
Cost over $450 new. Tire Rack charges $480 plus shipping.
Buy now for $300 or best offer.
Local pick up only. Wheels and tires are located in Lake County IL. Can be picked up there or in Kenosha, WI.
Another option is they could be delivered to MTTS in Elkhart lake. (Only for the full $300 price)
I'm posting this for a internet challegened friend, so bear with me and the current lack of info. He's not running the MINI in the winter anymore and would like to get these out of the garage.
I'll add more details later.

Agreed: great tires for winter. With them being mounted to wheels you don't care about (if they get salt damaged), that's even better. I have this setup for my MINI, and it drives like a tank in the winter—traction is never a problem.
If these were closer, I'd consider them myself, but I'm not very close by for a local pick up...

It's a bit out of my way, but... I'd love to know how is the handling with 195/60 R15's? I have a local distributor, but it isn't as smashing a deal as your tires are...
Also, I have my eye on Green Diamond's at greendiamondtire dot com : (caution, do not go to greendiamondtire dot net! I put that in by mistake and got some weird **** site, not good for break time at work while trying to show and tell your boss about traction innovation!
) Anyway... I was wondering how the 15s run, since the 195 60r15 seems like the closest size for the "Icelander" tire... would you run a 15 inch rim all year, if you could?

If you're asking how they are on dry pavement, They handle pretty well for snow tires. In the snow, ice or sloppy crap that we enjoy here in Wisconsin, they're awesome. The Goodyear runflats are useless here in crappy winter weather.
