WTB: Auto-dimming rear-view mirror

I'm looking for an auto-dimming rear-view mirror from a 1st generation MINI. I would MUCH prefer it to have the universal garage door opener. Please PM me if you happen to have one laying around!

(Not sure if the cabrios have a different setup for the rear-view mirror, so in the event that they do, I'm looking for one from a coupe.)

MINI makes an OEM one, but they are very expensive.

Good luck. I've been looking for one for a while. BTW, first in line. I posted a WTB long time ago.

How about 51-16-9-125-573 Interior Mirror with Automatic Dip for vehicles with EC/LED/Remote Control $465.15 Shipped in US.

This supercedes the 51-16-7-128-726 #

51-16-7-128-722 is not a valid part # in the latest ETK.

EC/LED/Remote Control. Is that some new features? 465.15 is better than 622 but still lots of cabbage. I am thinking of buying a BMW visor unit on ebay and giving it go on my own.

I PMed MotoringSpeed yesterday for some parts and the reply was that he's not in business any more. I'm so sad to see a vedor leaves and a business closes. I had so much beleive on that vendor for all my future purchases.

Man, thanks for the link. I can see a power cord out the holder of the Mirror. Anyone knows where would it be hooked up?

That mirror looks like the first itereration for the '02-'04 (smaller than the late '04-'06 mirror). I put one in my '02 and had to run a switched power wire and ground up to it, no big deal. You may get lucky and the connector may be there from the factory. Before they changed the mirror to a larger one in mid to late '04 the mirror simply spins 45 degrees to release from the holding clip. From what I have read the larger mirror included the chip for the remote entry to give it better range so you would need the correct mirror and move the chip over.
