got the evolve and the pipe looks like it was built in a garage, welds are sloppy, bungs have splatter , not pleased.

apparently they are NOT supposed to look this bad and are sending another DP.

They told me they outsourced the manufacture of them and did not intend for them to be built that way. I know in my field outsourcing jobs can cost you more, in money spent to get the job done right and loss of reputation . Afterall there name was laser etched on it.

If I had bought a $100 DP off ebay this is what I would expect. I guess I should have just bought a DP from Mario .

The last piece that goes to rest of exhaust appears not even be SS , looks like reg steel.

I had everything planned out, get DP, take to local ceramic coating guy, get it installed during my vacation period in 2 weeks and then get my manic stage 2 installed, now without a DP my plans are shot, unless I install this and hope it fits and have to do pull the DP and install the new one later.

But Evolve told me they were checking their stock, I just hope they have one that was manufactured by them with better quality.

 

Did you get the SPS switch as well with the Tune? If so, you can at least get the tune and just switch it to stock untill you get a proper DP installed. Thats pretty lame. It would appear Evolve got too big for their britches on this one. Outsourcing a DP?

 

And to top it off got a bill from UPS for import duties and brokerage fee of $15 , I'm pretty sure I ordered from a US web site but it was shipped from UK.

I got a replacement DP and has 2 tig and 2 mig welds, looks alot better but still not like their online photo which shows all to be tig welds except 1 mig at the bottom.

 

Are you still planning on using it? If so, I'd want my $15 back since that is no fault of your own.
