I would call my 139,000mi 2004 Cooper worth $3,500. It is relatively high mileage and has some cosmetic issues but is mechanically strong. I would like to fix the cosmetic issues, particularly the hood which is horribly scratched, and in some places the paint is gone leading to rust spots. However I plan on driving it into the ground before I even think about selling it.

 

I would not sell my 2005 S for less than 6500

and my 2006 jcw hardtop would not get sold for less than 10000, it took me a long time to find a hardtop factory jcw, it even has manual heat controls! best of the best other than a GP1

 

I'm not concerned with the value of my car in the market. What ever it is, it's worth more than that to me. For those who want to keep their cars for a long time and want to get the most return when they sell their car, keep it stock. The old cars kept stock will bring more the majority of the time.

 

I'm guessing buying a Mini isn't a good retirement plan.

 

Great responses, all. Some all-original Classic Minis are appreciating very well. Certain models of the new MINI are drawing attention, as well.
