Free leather Steering Wheel Cover.

Motor Swag needs 1 MINI owner to receive a 'free' Wheelskins leather steering wheel cover in your choice of colors and style. We're looking for 1 MINI owner with the new 3-spoke wheel .

For visual purposes we would like someone who will request a 2 color style as pictured here:
In exchange for your free cover (up to a $54 value) you agree to:
1. Install the cover within 3 days of it's arrival and provide clean and pretty digital pictures of the process and completed installation.
2. Write a short review of the product.
3. Keep the cover on your wheel for 6 months and write a 2nd review at that time.
4. Agree to send us your pics within 1 day of installation and permission to re-print your reviews at www.motorswag.com .

Please be a person who is likely to be in the market for this accessory:smile: . A review by a person who hates leather steering wheel covers would of course be of no value . Reply to jeff@miniswag.com and we'll chose someone by Sunday base on your email and 1 sample MINI interior pic YOU have taken and send with your email.

Please visit http://wheelskins.com/ and get familiar before considering this offer.

Thanks

Jeff

I have no idea why someone would hate leather steering wheel covers. People like what they like and don't what they don't.

Yes I accept there is risk involved that I would mail the cover and never hear from the person. But this is the MINI community , right? I don't think anyone would want to be the NAM member who accepted this offer and then was dishonest about it.

We haven't tried this on a 3-spoke wheel and neither has the manufacturer. I don't have a 3 spoke wheel. It may be this product is not suitable for a 3 spoke wheel given the size of the spokes. I'd like to find this out from an independent party before I go selling them and getting them back. Make sense:smile: ?

Might I suggest charcoal instead of black? Something to match the steering wheel a little more. The red is fine. I'm not the best critic, though; I love the leather on the two spoke steering wheel that comes with the car and wouldn't put one on no matter how innocuous.

Okay, I'll RTFM next time. Went to your website, found out you offer a bunch o' colors, one of which I'm sure matches the wheel. Suggestion retracted.

Why not like it? Driver preference mostly.

Some drivers don't like the thicker diameter steering wheel feel with a leather wrap/cover. Others might not like the selection of colors and might prefer the basic design. Some might not like the stitching.

Once mailed... it works like Mission Impossible and will self destruct if you do not sign the "microsoft agreement papers" and fax them back before putting your fingerprints on the leather.

BRG? Yup. See for yourself-

To be complete the leather color should match or contrast with the shift boot and brake boot as well as the mats and door leather pulls.

I think if a vendor is going to give something away in exchange for a testimonial and both parties are aware that this is the reason the recipient is getting a "free" cover, then it should be expected that the recipient will comply. In fact, DVLMini should get this in writing before delivering the cover that the recipient in fact has agreed to do this. Not everyone is a good writer, or good photographer, and he's taking his chances, but it shouldn't be a chance whether the person is going to disappear or not.

That's just my 2 cents.

Also, to answer why anyone would want a Leather cover? Well, my Leather MFSW is peeling, and it's a pain in the **** to schedule a time to go to my dealer---atleast 4 weeks in advance, and possibly be without my car for a few days while they get a replacement.

But even more than that, since I got a steering wheel cover--mine's rubber and cloth, I've found that the wheel is now thicker and stickier. It's much more like a go cart now! I really prefer the feel over the standard wheel. I can imagine that with really nice leather, the experience could be so much better.

I don't have a 3 spoke wheel or I'd take you up on this.

I do have a Wheelskins cover in our Tundra and can say that they are very nice. The installation is very easy and takes around an hour. The perf is cool and I'd recommend it. This is a sweet deal for someone with a 3 spoke wheel and a digital camera.

Probably charcoal as I've never really thought of the panther black as black...unless of course you're trying to match a leather shift boot...then I'd go with black.
