(from USMINICLUB)
ok.. yes this is...
yes there is a tour route.. (I have it.. ) and it is around the island...
start time will probably be either 8:30 or 9:00 from Roosevelt Field south parking garage.. (top level)
yes this is an all day event... lunch will be out in riverhead...
dinner will be at Cozymel's in westbury (about a 1/4 mile from roosevelt field)
want more specifics???
ok.. the route will go south from Roosevelt field.. down along jones beach... out Ocean Parkway, loopeing around Robert Moses, and up to Sunrise Hwy...
we will be on that until we get toward Eastport (still not sure) and will head down to Dune Road.... taking that thru Quogue and up across the bridge to Tiana and Hampton Bays . we will head across 27a thru the Red Creek area.. and come out north of the Big Duck.. we will then go down to the duck... and enjoy it's frivolity.. as well as a moment of silence for a fallen friend (see the threads on MINI2 and NEMINI regarding Ed "Maxamini" Smith.. who I also called friend) then north to Riverhead and Indian Island Golf Club & County Park for lunch.. After that... we continue north to Sound Ave with a pie stop at Briermere Farms (see howard... that's for you!).. then west via North Country Road and winding thru Wading river, Shoram, Rocky Point, Miller Place, PJ (with a pit stop there.. (for sue and marilyn)), and Stony Brook, Head of the Harbor, Nissaquoqe, San Remo, Kings Point (see Pete... you're other home!), and winding the Huntington and out and around Snake Hill Road.. then into Nassau and up to Cove Neck and oyster Bay (for Adam) and heading back thru Wheatly Road.. and around and such and ending at Cozymel's
ok how's that for details????????

This is a repeat of what Paul (from USMINICLUB )asked.. and I fully endorse it:
Calling all Club members and friends,
I propose that all “RLI2” Rally participants, Club Members and their friends join me in collecting donations for the Hurricane Katrina and thousands whom remain stranded in New Orleans. The donation should be at last a price of a full tank of gas per attending car.
Please sign up at this thread with your donation commitment, and choice (Red Cross, Salvation Army…etc) of the charity organization. The Club membership will determine the final charity of choice at the Rally on September 24th. All donations must be submitted in at the Rally meet place on Saturday September 24th.
MOTOR ON!
They can NOT!

Rob here... one more thing... my own choice is the Red Cross.. plus.. the MINI Tank is approx 12 Gal.. and with Gas around $3.00 per gall.. that's $36.. which is also known as "chai".. no.. not the tea.. but from the hebrew word.. l'chaim.. which means to life.. so 36=life.. which is also a common pledge at temples. Anyway.. let's see how we can help AND have a great time!

Hey guys, my girlfriend and I saw you cruisin while we were heading over to Pindar for some wine tasting. Your squad looked pretty good!
I'm one of the committee members of the largest Infiniti G35 club in the Northeast, called GSquad. http://www.thegsquad.org/ We're always looking for new meet ideas, which brought us to Hot Import Nights, a couple cruises to race tracks, dino pulls, etc. Since you guys seem to be a lot like us, I was wondering what you'd think about a G/Mini meet? Most of our meets bring anywhere from 30-60 cars, but usually less in the off season.
What do you guys think?
