I finally sourced a set of BBS RC alloys

They are more commonly available in Europe in 5 stud format for MkIV Golfs, the 4 stud ones to fit the MINI are rare.

Thanks M3NTAL

The cap aren't fitted as they looked wrong with the new colour

I got the chrome dish painted to match the wheels, but left the nut chrome

It helps with the mean and moody look

Finally got my RY-II's installed awhile back. 17x7.5 Stance needs to be a little more aggressive and the tires need a little less meat. I'll worry about that later. In the meantime.....

Do they make the real ones in 4x100? I know they've got reps in 4x100 for the e30's.

They're two-piece. The center is separate from the barrel/lip much like the LM's

I wanted the oem MINI BBS R90s but realized they are 24.1 lbs, then I wanted the 16' one piece R90s but they are heavy 20.9lbs. My 18' GP wheels are lighter at 19.8 lbs. I am trying to find the RG-Fs in 16x7, but they are very expensive.

I am now looking for a set of oem Mazda BBS wheels that came out in 92-93 in 15s at 9lbs. and 96-97 in 16' at 11 lbs. I know they are 4 lug but does anyone know more details on these BBS wheels?

Yeah back in 1988 I had a burgundy pearl Mazda B2000 with enkies and streched Fulda tires (whatever happend to Fulda Tires?) Even had a burgundy MOMO steering wheel. In the early 90s I had a 89' Mustang GT convertible with really offset Daytons and streched BFGs. In retrospect I thought, "What ITF was I thinking?"

I'm sure you know that Tire Rack sells BBS Wheels.

They only want your first born son, sorry no daughters, and a few dollars each for the BBS Beauties.

LM's for 780.00 each or
RG-R's for 655.00 each or
RG-F's for 495.00 each

RG-F's almost sound like a deal......

Those look great, what size tire is that?
So, this confirms that these wheels clears R53 JCW brakes. Wonder if the 15s would clear?

They have the RE (similar) in 4x100, 18x7.5 ET42. I think those would look sweet on a MINI.

the 15" RG-F don't clear JCW's for sure. I don't think the 16's do either though they do have a lower offset (you can check for sure on Tire Rack by choosing the winter wheel option).

BBS Wheels

From the BBS website: http://www.bbs-usa.com/default.cfm

BBS wheels that fit the first gen JCW brakes are:

16 inch: RG-F

17 inch: CV LM RG-R

18 inch: RE

Hope this helps...

After agonizing over which wheel to go with, I've reached deep into my pockets and gone LM (or the "Let's Motor" edition, as I call it). More (and larger) pics in my gallery. Sure is nice to be rid of the 16" runflats.. despite the shorter sidewall, the Pilot PE2's in 17" are infinitely superior in every respect. Now I need to drop it.. that will happen sooner or later, probably sooner.
