tire light?

so I was cruising around when my tire light came on..

of course I pulled over checked for nails, pressure, and obvious damage but everything was fine. its still on and bugging me. I have an autox tomorrow and I cant figure out whats wrong. anychance of them just randomly going off?

just a side note..
could it be that I switched my khumos with the runflats??
the oem rims can run with non runflat tires right?

Yeah it could be that the car just noted a difference in the rotational speed of your tires, i.e. different tire size or tread depth. A similar thing happened to me after I rotated my tires. There was a considerable tread difference from the fronts to the backs, and it set off my tire light. Just to be safe check the tire pressure and if it's all hunky-dorey have fun on your autocross

The tire warning light has come on in our MC three or four times in the last year. Never had a flat or a significant pressure difference in any of the tires. Everytime except once, I just reset the light and it stayed off. Once it came back on soon after, but I reset it again and all was well.

You have to reset the system every time you change tires. I put Kuhmo's on my car too and the light came on. Just look at the manual and reset it. It will be fine.

hmm, manual... im not sure where that lil guy ran off too. looks like ill be on a fun scavenger hunt tonight

I swap tires quite often (at least several times a month with autocrossing), and there has never been a pattern of the light coming on soon after I changed tires.

well its never come on with swapping the rims, but the tires seemed to have set it off... but im glad to know it wasnt just mine =]

I changed from stock checkmate rims and run flats to non runflat Eagles... no reset required.
