Just curious. I want to buy Toyo proxies, but I am curious why I can't seem to find them at the tire rack. I would like to buy them with a wheel and tire package on tirerack.com.

Do you carry them? If not, Any chance that you will carry them in the future?

Thnx,

No, the Tire Rack does not carry Toyo tires. Les Schwab carries them.

I got a set of new Toyo Proxes on my new rims a couple of weeks ago. They are so sweet and feel so nice. Mine are 205/35/18 Here is a picture.

You cannot go wrong with them. Why Tire Rack doesn't carry them I have know idea. Wish they did.

Sleepless is correct we do not handle Toyo. I doubt that we will ever carry Toyo products. Wish I had more optomistic news for you.

I have heard they make a very high quality product. I personally have no expierence with Toyo. Its not a relationship Tirerack has persued.

I'll be swapping out my worn BFG KDW's in the next month or so and am considering the Proxies..... anybody got any review of them as compared to other tires? I'm not concerned about price, but want the best performace I can get that hopefully isn't quite as loud as the KDW's.

I have proxes 4 on now. Great in dry and wet conditions. Better in my opinion than Goodyear runflats (Duh) and Kumho's. I have Toyo RA-1's for the track. Love Toyos

Edge Racing carries Toyo. You can also get wheel/tire packages there, although wheel choices are not as varied as Tire Rack's.

I had T1-s tires.

They had better turn in than the Goodyear F1 GS-D3s, but much worse wet performance. Toyos were lighter too, but overall, I'm happy with the Goodyears, as the turns in the hills where I live are often damp.

Toyos are good, but are they top notch? Questionable. It is like Toyota, they make great dependable cars, but will never be in the same league with big boys

Talk to or email Leo @ Edgeracing. Great service and they do carry all the Toyo products.

My second set of Toyos from Edge Racing are on their way. Good guys, good prices, and a good product. I ran T1S last year, going with the T1R this year. The wet traction is suppose to be inproved with the new version. I was very happy with the T1S, so can't wait to see how the T1R does.

A toyo rep spoke at a BMW Club monthly meeting today, says they don't distribute through TireRack(internet based) because they want local shop expertise - matching tires to use, setup, etc. They had a pretty good pitch and there's quite a few Toyo only racing classes running production cars.
