Needs flames. Subtle ones, maybe with a hint of of a rich purple.

I'm not normally a fan of big wheels, but those look pretty good. Better than I expected 19s could look in terms of staying in proportion to the lines of the car.

Looks nice, a bit big even for my taste, but nice none the less. How wide are the wheels? What tire size did you go with? Is the car dropped at all? If so, what springs?

running 215/35/19 Pirelli Nero MS. Lowered with H&R sports springs.

the H&R springs rides smoother and handles better than the stock which felt more stiff.

I like it a lot!! They look huge but still keep the sport look of the MCS.

I also have H&R and you are absolutely right. H&R ride smoother than stock springs, but it handles better!

H&R springs are progressive. The first "part" of the spring is softer, but as you put some load on the springs, they get stiffer. When cornering hard, the car sits and hold great!

Wow, how much do the H&Rs drop the car? Like 1.2" f/r right? Do you experience any rubbing? Once again, looks good!

*EDIT*
P.S. - DarkMCS, what size tire are you running on your current 18" setup? Any rubbing? And, how's Florida treating you so far?

I'm currently running 215/35/18 tires. Not a single issue... But I'm getting new tires in the next 2-3 weeks and will probably get 225-wide tires. It will probably fit... hopefully lol

Florida is an awesome place! I like it a lot. I just got to get used to Miami's hot temps lol

btw, BahamaBart & I will probably do another meeting in the near future, if you want to join, feel more than welcome to do so!! Let me know if you want to come with us. (PM or this thread)

19's They look really good efxautosport. But do have any rubbing? Or should I ask how's the handling with those? I have 18's that I couldn't be more happy with I'm complemented all the time. As for the way yours looks It's beautiful.

it only rubs on the left rear when i hit a big dip or have 4 people in the car. the handling is superb due to the low profile tires for quick steering response

Isn't a 215/35/19 a bigger diameter than a 215/40/18?

I have 19" x 7.5" motegi ff7 with 225/35/19 tires on it. I have slight rubbing but i think it is because of the kit i have on the car and 1.25" spacers in the back. No rubbing up front. Rubbing on the back only occurs on bumps. Hope this helps anyone out.Name: DSC01402.jpg

Great looking Mini, Peter W. What is the offset on your motegis? And is that a Zeemax kit I see? I didn't imagine 19" could look so good on a Mini. I'm having a kit put on my MCSC (not zeemax though) and I've been debating on 18" or 19" and the offset I should use to fill the new fender. Any help...

Yes that is the zeemax kit on my car, thanks for the compliment on my car and thanks for looking. The offset on my wheels are 42 and the rims are 19"x7.5" and i have 1.25" spacers in the rear. What kind of kit are you putting on your car? Hope I helped you out a little.

Peter, wow, everytime I look at your mini I begin to salivate... You really put it together well. I'm going with the Orciari Mini Evoluzion kit. It was just a bit easier on my checkbook. The biggest issue I'm finding is the limited offset options on 4x100 bolt pattern. Although, going 19" might give me a few more options. The highest (or smallest) offset I've found was on a TSW wheel at +25 offset without having to go to a full custom wheel (mucho $$$) . But if I'm doing my calculations correctly, you're rear offset is, as you currently have it, +10.75mm, that's if your were to go with a full custom wheel w/o spacers. Please correct me if I'm wrong but here it goes:

Motegi +42mm
Spacer 1.25" x 25mm = 31.25mm (to convert inches to mm)
Motegi +42 - spacer +31.25 = +10.75mm

Now, none of this matters since zeemax and orciari wheel arches are different (I'm assuming). Are you using any spacers up front? How was the fitment of the kit? Since it's fiberglass I know it doesn't have much flex. I'm having some minor issues with mine at the wheel arches only (fiberglass also) and also the kit had to be modified for the rear boot as the kit was made for the hard top lift gate.

Gee, Wally, your Mini sure looks nice...

215/40/18 = 24.8 inch tall and 8.6 inches wide

215/35/19 = 24.9 inch tall and 8.6 inches wide

Brownflyer,
I really don't know the whole concept about offsets but you are right, custom wheels are real expensive, i have looked into it, thats y i went with the spacers. I suggest you do the same, it is way less expensive. Yes i do have spacers in the front, they are 25mm H&R spacers. I have no fitment issues with my kit, but you are right, no flex at all so some cracking has occurred. Post some pics of your car, i would love to see it when it is done. Good luck!
