New wheel ???

Right now I have a set of Sportmax 962 in 17x7 with a 40 offset.

Its a pretty nice wheel but I am just looking for something different.

Right now I am torn between the Rota GT3(16x7 40) in red:

Or The Sportmax 002 in black: (these range from 15x7-18x7.5 offsets from 0-40 and come in white, black, gunmetal(shown), and hypersilver.)

What do you think will look the best with a Dark Silver/Black MINI. I think the red wheels will make them pop out. The black will give it that euro look. If I did the wheels in red I might also think about the mirrors in red too. Also, would I be better going with 16's or 17's. I have always run 17's but not sure if it is the best option. I am planning on running Nitto Neogen tires as well...

Have you photoshopped the red wheels yet to see how it looks?

Yeah thats because I think the stock photo is like 20x9 , a little different than 17x7...thats kinda why I want to get rid of the 962s...

Anyone want a deal?

Ace, here is a quick and very poorly done photoshop on a borrowed gallery image for you to get an idea. Dont have time to do a better job but I was curious how it would look.

Interesting, but different for sure.

i am a sucker for contrast ... like the red morror caps on the GP ... but I think red wheels on a grey car might be a bit overkill ...
i really like your current setup best [/nohelpwhatsoever]

I vote the Sportmax 002 only because they still have a hint of the MINI look. I thought the red might be interesting until I saw Minitor's rendition. Gotta love that photoshop for making decisions.

actually....its also because of the offset. You will have the same problem with the 002's. I personally LOVE the look in that picture. I almost bought those exact wheels atleast 3 times. The pictured ones are the 15x8 et 0 002's . Try finding a pic of the 15x7 et35 (i think its 35 right?...maybe its 40). They look much different, and i dont want you to be surprised when you get them.

I still vote 002's though (you can get the 002's in red if you want the best of both worlds)

just to show what i mean about the lip, here are sportmaxs (not 002, but very close....the lip will look the same) with the MINI's offset....not much dish, but still very nice

Yeah I know that the sportmax pic is of the 0 offset wheel and that has more lip. That is kinda why I am favoring the the Rota because what you see is what you get they only make the GT3 in one size I think.
